After three transformative years shaping fiction and non-fiction narratives in the marketing corridors of Star Jalsha, Swarnava Sinha (Payel) is stepping back into the creative hot seat â this time with renewed firepower. In a move thatâs already creating ripples in the Bengali television industry, Sinha has joined Sun Bangla as Executive Producer â Non-Fiction, marking a decisive and dynamic comeback to the genre that first defined their storytelling legacy.
Known for their intuitive storytelling instincts and a deep understanding of audience psychology, Sinhaâs return signals a bold new direction for Sun Banglaâs non-fiction slate â one that blends emotional intelligence with cutting-edge format innovation.
Prior to her stint at Star Jalsha, Swarnava Sinha (Payel) served as Executive Producer at Akash Aath, where she helmed a series of landmark shows that set the gold standard for Bengali non-fiction television â most notably Good Morning Akash, The Legends and Gaanpoint. These programs not only resonated deeply with viewers but also redefined the genreâs storytelling possibilities. Building on that momentum, she later played a pivotal role at Star Jalsha, where her strategic and creative inputs were instrumental in the success of high-impact properties like Dance Dance Junior, Super Singer, Geeta LL.B, Tomader Rani and Meybela.

Known for her hybrid expertise in content curation, digital-first campaigns, celebrity collaborations and on-ground event integration, Sinhaâs appointment is expected to accelerate Sun Banglaâs content evolution while strengthening its brand connect in Bengalâs highly competitive GEC space.
