So, I'm trying a new opening for my walking videos. A very quick and simple animation with my channel name, opening to the street. I'm curious about what you think?

Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny was kind to you! πŸ‡πŸ₯š

Here's a few screenshots from my latest walking tour video where I explore Victoria Park/Barrambin on Brisbane's northside. It's going to the be the future home of the Brisbane Lions, the Brisbane Heat, and a little event called the 2032 Summer Olympics.

The next few days are going to be rough for a lot of us in Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. If you're bracing for Tropical Cyclone Alfred, stay safe and good luck!

Once it's safe I'll be back out walking, but for now, here's a pic of some local ducks that just appeared in the front yard. I've never seen them here before. I think they're doing some reconnaissance and having a special duck community meeting to prepare for the coming storm. Good luck, duckies!

The Year of the Snake is here! Happy New Year! I hope the 2025 lunar year brings you success in everything you do! To welcome in the new year, I went for a morning walk in Brisbane City. Here's a few stills from the video I'll be editing and uploading later tonight.

It's a scorcher out there today. Feels like 40.6 Β°C! If you're a Brisvegas resident, keep cool and stay safe! Stay hydrated, and if you're outside stay in the shade as much as you can. Use sun protection. Check in on your elderly neighbours to make sure they're okay and staying hydrated. If you have pets, make sure they have enough water and a shady spot to rest.
Stay cool, Brisbane!

As we embark on another trip around the sun together (welcome to 2025!), I'd like to thank you all for supporting me over the past year. I started my channel as a way to encourage me to get out more and discover more of my city, take some new virtual friends on my walks with me, and show off the best of Brisbane and south-east Queensland.

I uploaded my first walking tour video back in May, and now I've just reached 500 subscribers. It's a very small milestone, but I'm still going to celebrate it πŸŽ‰ πŸ₯‚ πŸ₯³ . Making these videos is quite a commitment sometimes, but I really enjoy doing them, and I try to do my best with each one.

For every video you've watched, for every comment, like or sub, thank you so much. I hope you'll continue walking with me into 2025. I promise I'll keep showing you the best of what Brisbane and south-east Queensland has to offer.

Here are a few shots from my first walk of 2025, where I check out the new Kangaroo Point Bridge (the video will be up later today/tonight).

Much love to everyone πŸ’œ and Happy New Year!

A quick view out the window of our hotel in Hongdae - the Holiday Inn Express Hongdae. The room is very small compared to Australian hotels, but it does the job, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. Close to the main shopping street, and plenty of places to explore around. Plus, the train station was directly opposite! It made getting from the airport to hotel very easy. If we were in Hongdae again, I think we'd stay here again.

EXCITING UPDATE: I'm going on holiday! We're heading overseas for just over a month for a trip back to my wife's home country. On the way over and back, we'll also be visiting some other pretty awesome destinations. I'll keep all the locations a surprise (to keep you guessing πŸ˜„), but I'll be doing lots and lots of walks everywhere!

We're both very excited, as it's been over 5 years since we were able to travel back, so it's long overdue.
Keep watching over the next month or two, as I'll try and upload as much as I can as we travel (depending on internet connections!). We'll be flying back to Brisbane in the first week of December.

I'll be filming a lot of walking tour videos in all the cities and areas we go, but I'll also try and film some hotel room tours of all the places we'll be staying on the trip, and maybe even some of the more interesting airports.

I hope you'll join me on my overseas walks. I really can't wait to see some new places and have some new experiences.

The picture is of my unpacked suitcase. Well, I've half-packed! But we fly out tomorrow afternoon, so I've still got some time to pack and unpack a gazillion times as I try to stay under the baggage weight limit!
