Weâll see you out there! After just over two years of running this crazy dream of EDC stories and reviews me and Jamie are closing down shop. From every YouTube metric and friendship metric this thing has been a huge success. You guys have showed up time and time again to check out what we are doing and me and Jamie donât hate each otherđ. From our previous experience we knew a media company in the knife world would never fully pay the bills and we ran out of runway trying to get different ways to get this thing off the ground and soaring. We always said we would do things authentically our way, that we would never shill, and we would only tell the stories and share the experiences that we really wanted to and we can proudly say that is exactly what weâve done! So thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts for helping us work at our dream job, and thank you as well to all the industry support! What we were doing was a very different approach and the people and companies you saw on the channel really believed in what we were doing. Thereâs a good chance youâll see Jamie kicking around the knife world somewhere and Iâm just going to do my Zac thing and ramble for a while maybe Iâll be back around maybe not. Doing this type of creative work comes with a lot of doubts about the value or usefulness of what youâre making. I hope youâve gotten more from this project than just a few recommendations on gear. Check out the recent Bowie Knife video for the debate of the centuryđ¤Ł! Iâve done a ton of research on Jim Bowieâs name and looked at how it was pronounced from its origins (Scotland) and how in more modern times itâs pronounced where his family lived and the knife that bears his name became popular. All accounts lead to âBoowieâ even though growing up I pronounced it âBowieâ. I think this is for two reasons: 1. We all know David Bowie and have heard that pronunciation in pop culture for a long time. 2. The English pronounce it âBowieâ and they were importing 90% of the Bowie knives the USA got in the 19th century. Let me know your thoughts and why! Most Dangerous Knife In America!
