Copying Midori Yamada’s cats in watercolor. Copying is a great way to learn new techniques and processes. It’s also a great thing to do when you can’t figure out what to paint. When I taught AP art I would have my students choose their master project and then find an artist that does something similar and copy them to learn how they did it.
