A charged mouse.
Always.

When I first heard of the Razer Hyperflux V2, I have to admit I was hyped!
Too often, my mouse ran out of juice at the most inconvenient time possible (those super stressful buying rounds before the next CS2 round with the boys), which leaves you looking for a suitable USB cable in a panicked frenzy.

But Razer's newest wireless charging solution makes this situation a distant nightmare of the past. Just by adding the charging puck to your supported mouse, you get instant peace of mind.
While the Hyperflux is also available with a cloth cover, they sent me the "Hard Surface" variant for our testing, which actually feels quite nice and allows for accurate tracking.
The charging puck also auto pairs your mouse with your connected system, and if you own a wireless Razer keyboard, you can also pair it with the Hyperflux, freeing up some valuable USB ports, which is especially convenient with laptop setups.

Sure, its a proprietary solution, but if you are already locked into the Razer world of gaming peripherals and want a convenient solution to completely forget about charging your wireless mouse?
Well, it does not get any better than this!

Nvidia just released a native #GeForceNow app for the Steam Deck, and we have been able to test it for a couple of days already.
The whole setup process could not be easier. It just requires you to take a slight detour to the handheld's desktop mode. Within a couple of minutes, you are good to go and are treated with all of your games across pretty much all launchers within the app itself.

I played the Oblivion Remaster, Clair Obscur (both via Game Pass), and Assassin's Creed Shadows via Ubisoft Connect. All games ran at their highest possible settings, at a fixed 60 fps, and with a ping of around 15-20 ms on my connection.
During my testing, I did not run into any crashes or connection issues, and if nobody had told me that these games are actually streamed from the cloud ... well, only the absence of fan noise and much improved battery runtimes would be a giveaway. ;)

All of this, combined with the very snappy loading times and the fact that you will not have to install or download anything, makes GeForce Now a convenient way to quickly jump into your favourite games at the end of the day.
If you are online, that is ;)
Let me know if you would try streaming games to your Steam Deck (or pretty much any other handheld), if you have tried GeForce Now before, and what your experience has been like!

With the Claw8 and the Claw A8, MSI will offer an 8-inch handheld, being either powered by Intel's Lunar Lake silicon or AMD's Z2 Extreme. While we do not have any performance results for the latter, judging from what the 890M can do in general, it should be a close call.
The AMD version will most likely be a tad bit faster, while the Intel model will probably take the crown for efficiency and battery life. Which one would be your pick for now?

#Ad With their gorgeous special edition for the superlight Prestige 13, the first AMD Z2 Extreme-based handheld, a visual glow-up for the "original" Claw 8, and some interesting-looking RTX 5060 and 5070 laptops, MSI had a lot in store for us at Computex 2025.
They also sponsored a part of our trip to support our general coverage, so kindly check out the full video:

If you want some early benchmark results for the new RTX 5060, well, we got a video for that as well:

We just had the chance to test the Razer Blade 16 in its RTX 5080 config on the website, and while you will have to make some performance sacrifices, at around $1000 less than the 5090 flagship, they might be more than worth it.
When opting for Nvidia's second fastest mobile GPU, you also have to "downgrade" to the Ryzen 9 365, instead of the HX 370, which equates to around 10-15% less overall CPU performance.

On the GPU side of things, everything varies greatly by each individual workload. Just to give you a brief glimpse, here are some numbers from our testing:
FIRESTRIKE Graphics:
RTX 5080: 51894 Points
RTX 5090: 52065 Points
TIMESPY Graphics:
RTX 5080: 20422 Points
RTX 5090: 22082 Points

Cyberpunnk 2077 2560x1440 Ultra Preset:
RTX 5080: 85.9 fps

RTX 5090: 98.6 fps

F1 24 2560x1440 Ultra Preset:
RTX 5080: 77 fps
RTX 5090: 94.9 fps

Baldur's Gate 3 2560x1440 Ultra Preset:
RTX 5080: 163.3 fps
RTX 5090: 162 fps

Intel PANTHER LAKE is here!
Well, sort of.

At Computex 2025, Team Blue gave us a first glimpse into their upcoming CPU architecture, which aims to combine Lunar Lake's efficiency with Arrow Lake's overall computing grunt and combine it all with an even faster built-in GPU.
They showed off a few demos at the show, and it seems like they are well on track with a launch probably late this year or early 2026.

NEW RAZER BLADE 14
Razer just announced the new 14" rather quietly, and I am quite unsure what to think about it.
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 365
RTX 5060/5070 (115W)
Up to 64 GB LPDDR5x 8000 MHz
Up to 2TB SSD
3K OLED @120 Hz (G-Sync)
Micro SD-Card Reader
2 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
2 x USB-C 4
HDMI 2.1

It's a bit thinner and quite a bit lighter than the previous generation, and apparently, they also upgraded the speaker system.
So it is getting a bit closer to the G14 in general, while maxing out with the 5070, which is quite the bummer.
I was hoping for at least a 5070 Ti config.
In Razer's US store the 5070 config with 32 GB of RAM is $2699.

Overall, it looks like a very sleek machine, and I get their intent in making it more mainstream, but from what I was able to find in the US, a 5070 Ti config of the Zephyrus G14 is $2499, so that really puts the Blade in a very awkward position.

What are we thinking folks?

Look what just arrived in the studio! :O
MSI's Raider A18 HX with AMD's new 2025 Ryzen 9 9955HX3D just showed up on our doorstep.
So let's see what the 16-core monster can do with an Nvidia RTX 5080.
Who's excited?

Hey guys, I have a quick question regarding performance modes in gaming laptops.
If we assume every laptop has some form of these 4 modes, which would you use most of the time? If you already own a gaming laptop, which do you actually use most of the time?
Please try to pick one that resembles your actual usage scenario. Feel free to share your thoughts about the whole thing and more details about how and when you switch modes below.
I would love to get more information about your opinions and habits here for future reviews.
Thanks, folks, I really appreciate your help here.
