NEW VIDEO | Buried Treasure? Resonance? Exploring Ancient and Mysterious Caves in Portugal.
https://youtu.be/Vs7G9j7CU4Q?si=kg9_W...

In the limestone hills of central Portugal in the Coimbra district there are these very striking and mysterious looking natural formations. Buracas do Casmillo is a few ancient karst caves formed by the collapse of limestone roofs over thousands of years.

Thereโ€™s no doubt been human activity here over the millennia. It was perhaps used as natural shelter of the caves for protection, ceremonies, or observation. Its also they were used by the Moors who buried treasure here. There are acoustic properties and water sources so they could well have been used for other reasons. I used my tuning fork and bullroarer inside the caves!

This is a place of silence, mystery, forgotten stories and legend. How would the ancients have used these caves thousands of years ago? This is a tour of all of these incredible caves!

Over the past few years, Iโ€™ve visited and photographed sacred places across Portugal โ€” ancient megaliths, moss-covered boulders, and timeless trees. These landscapes shaped my journey and led to the life-changing experiences I had in Egypt.

All the photos were taken with my iPhone, during personal walks and moments of connection. Iโ€™ve never claimed to be a professional photographer โ€” just someone with an eye for presence, energy and reverence. These arenโ€™t just images, but invitations: to slow down, to reconnect, and to see nature and the ancients differently.

Many of you asked if you could use some of these images โ€” for events, creative projects, flyers, or simply as reminders of something deeper.

So Iโ€™ve curated 50 images into a digital pack:

๐’๐š๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐’๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ & ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐ž๐ฌ โ€” ยฃ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“

NEW VIDEO | Were Natural Rock Formations The First Megaliths?
https://youtu.be/MOuX-3YAzQk?si=WlJLS...

Monsanto also known as the โ€˜Holy Mountainโ€™ is in Portugal and it exudes a magical aura and you canโ€™t help but feel you are entering a fairytale world. Humanity has occupied Monsanto for millennia and it is probably most famously known for the knights templar who constructed the hilltop castle in the 12th century.

It was here I began to wonder that perhaps natural rock formations were the first megaliths, like prototype megaliths. There are many boulders which natural frame pathways, shelters, enclosures and semi enclosures. They were likely seen as places of significance and they wouldโ€™ve been drawn to them and I believe they saw the Earth as a living entity.

What if the ancients used these naturally occurring formations long before artificial structures? What if natural rock formations were the first sacred spaces? The original megaliths?

In my own journey it was nature that led me to megaliths. I think it was the same for the ancients who were led to megaliths by nature itself.

A few photos from the Sanctuary of Son Corrรณ in Mallorca. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’ซ

In the heart of Mallorca, near the village of Costitx, lies the Sanctuary of Son Corrรณโ€”a site that offers a tantalizing glimpse into the islandโ€™s prehistoric past. Itโ€™s thought to date from the 5th to the 2nd century BC.

Discovered in 1894 by a local farmer, this sanctuary revealed a remarkable find: three life-sized bronze bull heads. The sanctuary itself comprises a series of stone columns arranged in a rectangular formation. Itโ€™s a beautiful location and setting. I was there at sunrise so the colours were amazing!

NEW VIDEO | Megalithic Mallorca | Talaiot de Binifat: What Was It Really Built For?

https://youtu.be/1F4GRVzyhdo?si=uPg_c...

Talaiot de Binifat in Mallorca is one of several hundred talaiot's scattered across the island. This one is a beauty and it was my first talaiot I've been to! Talaiot's are tower-like megalithic structures, usually circular in shape and thought to be used for defence, storage, gathering or ritual. Talaiots are found across Mallorca & Menorca (Balearic Islands, Spain) and the origin of the name โ€œTalaiotโ€ means โ€œwatchtowerโ€ or โ€œplace that watchesโ€ in Catalan.

NEW VIDEO | I Wonโ€™t Return to This Megalith in a Hurryโ€ฆ

Watch the video: https://youtu.be/glniTcpXhpM?si=uvAGO...

Menhir del Cabezo is located in the Extremadura region of Spain โ€” one of the few remaining menhirs in the western part of the country. It sits in a remote landscape, and to reach it, you have to drive a few kilometres down a dirt track.

Iโ€™ve visited many megalithic sites over the years, and I feel Iโ€™ve become a collector of experiences. Each place leaves you with a certain memory, feelings and energy.

But there was something off about this one. From the moment Gaia and I arrived, she was unsettled โ€” barking and growling at something I couldnโ€™t see. As we were about to leave I felt a sudden jolt of fear. I donโ€™t know what it was but I knew I had to leave. It was instinctive.

Many of you have asked if you could use some of these images โ€” for events, creative projects, flyers, or simply as reminders of something deeper.

These are the places and moments that have shaped me. Moss-covered boulders, gnarled trees, ancient sites โ€” places that still hold energy and stillness if you take the time to listen.

Iโ€™ve brought 50 of them together in a curated photo pack called Sacred Stones & Trees.

Iโ€™ve also selected one personal favourite image to offer as a limited standalone hero print โ€” Iโ€™ll share more about that soon.

~ For now, hereโ€™s a wee preview of the photo pack. Iโ€™ll share more details and links at the weekend. Cheers!
