Since I got some ✨new shrimp✨I figured I would show you how I drip acclimate them using a marina a breeder box. The marina breeder box has been one of my favourite tools that I regularly use over the years. (For many reasons including temporary housing, observation, selective breeding, holding select shrimp for a customer, photography and drip acclimating)

Sometimes shrimp are slow to breed, or stop breeding completely. Over the years I've noticed some things that I believe can cause this to happen.

Hello Shrimp people! Check out yesterday’s video if you haven’t already, it’s all about keeping fish and shrimp together. If your goal is breeding shrimp you definitely don’t want to put fish in with them. (Theres always a risk) However I know a lot of hobbyists want to keep a planted community tank.. I give tips discussing good choices so that your shrimp will be comfortable. Hope you shrimp people enjoy. Do any of you have planted fish and shrimp tanks?

I started a new cull tank and well, Some of the shrimp that I thought were Culls turned out to be beautiful. It’s always fun seeing how they turn out. Green jades .. in particular the high-grade dark ones are really tricky when they’re young. Sometimes they’re really pale or even blue and I culled those ones and put them in the tank and now they grew up to he beautiful dark green 😂 be careful who you cull!
The other Culls in this tank were from my black rose and my blue dream aquarium. Most of the black rose Culls matured to be chocolate shrimp. Most of the blue dream culls were just lacking a deep blue colour or had too many dark markings and stayed that way. Its fun to see them together but once the colors start cross breeding they will produce quite a few brown wild type shrimp. Many of the mamas are berried now, so we’ll see what the babies look like over the next few months. I know a lot of shrimp keepers like to keep skittles tank so I want to give you an idea of what can happen when you mix colors. 😊

I love using moss in my shrimp tanks!! what are some of your favourite plants to use in your shrimp tank?! 🌿
