Life has been so busy here! Much more than I thought it would be.
Here's what's new...
My mom has finally settled in at her new home. It took a lot longer than any of us would have imagined. She is safe, happy, and has made many new friends. Thank you SO MUCH for all of your prayers, thoughts, and well wishes! 🙏
After a lot of prayer, Joe and I have decided to go back to operating our cottage bakery on a regular basis. This was not a decision we made overnight, but it has been on our hearts for a while now. There is much to do to get things going in the direction we'd like to head in and rebranding in just one of the steps we've started with. I'm attaching pictures of our newest cookie creation, "Cinnamon Roll Cookies," for you to enjoy virtually. 😁

Along with the bakery, I will be homeschooling our sweet granddaughter, Madeline, beginning in the fall. This has been something that we have been praying about for well over a year. God has finally placed an answer on all the hearts involved, and we couldn't be happier! God is so good! ALL THE TIME!
This year, we will also be getting new laying hens, a few meat birds, turkeys, and possibly a couple of pigs.
So, as you can see, there are no dull days on our little homestead. We will be sure to keep you in the loop on all of our crazy days ahead, so make sure that your notification bell is clicked to "All." This way, you don't miss out!

My Sweet Friends,
I want to inform you that I will be taking a month-long leave starting from June 30th to July 31st. During this time, I will be focusing on transitioning my mother into an assisted living facility. This decision comes at a crucial time for our family, as we navigate through a challenging period.
This transition is not easy for my mother or for our family. It requires careful planning and support to ensure she adjusts comfortably to her new living arrangement. I believe that dedicating this time to her, both in terms of getting her belongings in order and spending quality time together, will greatly aid in making this transition smoother and less stressful for her.
Thank you for your prayers, understanding, and consideration during this challenging time for my family. I look forward to returning with renewed energy and commitment once this important transition is complete.

Spring has quickly become my favorite time of the year.
With all of its sounds, new growth, and delightful scents, spring is also the perfect time for making "Apple Blossom Jelly."
It's still very amazing to me that I can harvest blossoms from our apple trees to make apple jelly that truly tastes like apples. It just blows my mind!

Hello, Keepers!
We are enjoying a beautiful spring day here in Northern Maine! I hope you are enjoying the beauty of spring in your area of the world, as well.
I want to express my gratitude and thanks to all of you who have been commenting, emailing, praying, and writing to me. I feel very blessed and humbled by your love and support! I am healing well after my surgery just over 2 weeks ago. I still have a few weeks left on my healing journey, but I am feeling great and I look forward to walking on both of my feet again!
I have another wonderful video going up today at 12 noon!! This is EST, of course, so keep that in mind. Today I will be sharing our family's favorite pasta salad recipe with you. Good morning, keepers!
Did everyone get to see the eclipse yesterday? We were located in the PERFECT spot for full eclipse viewing, according to the weather scientists. The whole experience was AWESOME!
Our son gets photo credits for these spectacular pictures he took during yesterday's event.

Dear Keepers,
Today was my first morning home after my surgery 2 days ago.
If you are not signed up to receive my newsletter, then you probably haven't heard that I had to have foot surgery. The surgery went well, so I am now able to begin my journey of healing.
My wonderful husband made a delicious breakfast for me this morning, and he has also taken over feeding and caring for our chickens for the next 6 weeks. He is a keeper!
As soon as I am able, I will try to get a video up explaining my surgery to you. Until then, please enjoy the content I have scheduled.
