The Crazy Day of Little Max
One sunny morning, Little Max woke up feeling over the moon—today was the school picnic! He jumped out of bed, shouting, “I’m going to have a blast!” His mom smiled and said, “You’re the apple of my eye, Max. Have fun!”
Max packed his snacks, grabbed his bag, and was ready to hit the road. On the way, he saw his best friend Lucy, who looked cool as a cucumber, even though the bus was late.
Suddenly, Max realized he forgot his picnic ticket. “Oh no! I’m in a pickle!” he cried. They had to go back to square one—back home to get the ticket. Max felt down in the dumps, but Lucy said, “Let’s get the ball rolling and hurry back!”
When they finally reached the picnic spot, Max saw a game where the prize was a giant teddy bear. “That’s in the bag!” he said confidently. But when it was his turn, he got so excited he screamed, “ZIP YOUR LIP, everyone! I need to focus!”
He tried to toss a ring onto a bottle but missed. He tried again and missed again. “Finding the perfect angle is like finding a needle in a haystack!” he groaned.
Then he saw a butterfly and started chasing it, running in circles, laughing loudly. “You’ve totally lost your marbles, Max!” Lucy giggled.
He accidentally knocked over the lemonade stand. “Oh no! You’re going to make waves with the teachers now!” Lucy warned.
But Max wasn’t upset. The teachers helped clean up, and everyone laughed. When Max finally won a small prize, he jumped for joy. “This day was a total piece of cake,” he said with a big smile—even though it wasn’t!
