If you’re someone who watches our videos every Sunday, maybe with your morning coffee, or as a routine with your family, we want to start by saying: thank you. It truly means the world to us that our videos have become part of your life like that. And we’re so sorry to disrupt that rhythm.

After years of uploading every Sunday, we’re shifting to a new schedule: we’ll now be releasing videos every 10 days.

Why the change? Well, posting every Sunday means we’re filming, editing, and releasing a full video every single week. And as our videos have become more complex and cinematic, it’s felt like we’re constantly treading water, with no room to plan ahead.

It’s also expensive to sustain weekly uploads, especially when we’re trying to do justice to the stories we share.

On top of that, over the past year we’ve been building out our blog with tons of detailed travel guides to help make your trip planning easier. Between all that and balancing full-time work, we’ve ended up working every weekend for the past few years, with no real time to rest.

And that’s not sustainable.

By moving to a 10-day upload schedule, we’re giving ourselves just a little more room to breathe so we can continue making thoughtful, high-quality content that we’re proud to share.

If you don’t want to miss a post, make sure to turn on notifications on YouTube and follow us on Instagram Stories (@TouristToLocal), where we’ll always announce new videos.

Thanks for growing with us, and for being part of this community.

We did it. 100k subscribers. Everyone talks about overnight success. But what if it takes 11 years?

This milestone is a big one for us. We dreamed about hitting 100k for years, and the lessons we learned to get here were more valuable than the number itself.

We put together this quick video to celebrate. Make the world your neighborhood ❤️

We’ve been keeping a HUGE secret since November, and we’re finally able to share it with you.....

🥁Drumroll please.......

We’ve been hand-selected to join the 2025 Disney Creators Lab! 🎉🏰

Disney chose only 21 creators to participate in this incredible program designed to help us grow as storytellers and content creators. This February, we’ll be flying to Disneyland for an intensive week of workshops, discussions, and behind-the-scenes magic. We’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the most brilliant minds in the industry, including Disney Imagineers, YouTube reps, Patreon experts, and Disney executives.

What’s even more amazing? This isn’t about promoting anything—it’s all about helping us grow as creators and storytellers. Disney found us for this opportunity, and their goal is to help us create even better content for YOU.

Disney has been a huge part of our lives. Their stories and movies sparked our love for culture, adventure, and imagination. Even today, we bond over Disney songs in both English and Spanish (we have a full duet playlist if you’re curious 😉). To think that we’ve been recognized by the very company that inspired so much of our passion is truly surreal.

This wouldn’t have been possible without your support. You’ve made this dream a reality, and we’re endlessly grateful for each and every one of you.

We’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes stories from this magical experience in February on Instagram, so make sure you follow us over there: www.instagram.com/touristtolocal

For now, we just want to say thank you for being part of our journey. As Disney says: “If you can dream it, you can do it.”

Guys… we don’t even know where to start 🥢🏮✨

After 8 months of daily research, planning, and debating (literally down to which ramen shop deserved a spot on the itinerary), we can finally say: our Japan series is coming. 🇯🇵🎥

We have 9 videos on the way (!!), and so far, we’ve edited 3… and wow, we’re just sitting here like, “DID WE DO THAT?” 🥹 This might honestly be the work we’re most proud of ever. Period. End of story.

Honestly we’ve been reflecting so much on just how PROUD we are of ourselves. We make it look easy in our videos, but this is tough work sometimes, and Japan was no exception! We’re talking 5am wake-up calls to catch the perfect light, 21,000 steps a day lugging heavy equipment (our backs are still recovering 🙃), and yes, there was even a point where I (Juliana) worked myself sick from standing in the cold for too many days in a row.

But that’s ok! Watching Japanese TV with a fever was an experience I didn’t know I needed lol.

But it was all worth it. Every single step, every single debate, every single bowl of udon.

This series is a love letter to Japanese culture, and every video dives into a different theme—from eating at local-only spots that are so cheap and SO good 🍜, to running through Fushimi Inari at dusk, to fighting a sumo wrestler (yes, that happened), to sushi chefs slicing nigiri right in front of us 🍣, to 7-11 taste tests because duh 🤷‍♀️, and even Dance Dance Revolution battles in Akihabara 🕺✨. Oh, and don’t even get us started on our insane Osaka food tour or the peaceful side of Kyoto we uncovered 🧘‍♀️.

We poured everything we have into this series, and we CANNOT WAIT for you to see it. The first video goes live this Sunday, and trust us… you’re not ready for this ride. 🎢💌

So proud. So tired. So grateful. We hope you love this series as much as we loved making it. 💖

We’re writing to you from JAPAN! 🤯 The last time we were in Asia was in 2020 for our honeymoon—just days before the world shut down. It’s wild to be back here, and it’s bringing back memories of how much we loved exploring Asia.

Before this trip, Singapore was our favorite place! We still rave about that trip, and with Juliana’s mom recently visiting and our neighbor being from there, we’ve been itching to return. If you need something to watch while we’re out, check out our video from 2020 and see why Singapore has a special place in our hearts!

Ps. Stay tuned for a very special end of the year video coming 🔜

Have you heard of Holbox?🤔 It’s one of our favorite places in Mexico, and it’s so easy to reach from Cancun that you should definitely consider visiting! ✈️ This little slice of paradise blew our minds, especially how you can walk so far out into the water—it’s like nothing we’ve ever seen.

If you’re missing us this month and dreaming of your next beach escape, this video might give you some serious inspiration! 👇

PS: Hope you're following us on Instagram, because we've officially landed in Japan and will be sharing lots on our stories these next few weeks: www.instagram.com/touristtolocal

We miss you guys! ❤️ Looking back at the start of this year, we can't help but reflect on our video in Agrigento, Sicily. This one felt different—it marked the beginning of a major shift in how we tell stories. We lived with Martin's family in this small city for weeks, fully immersing ourselves in local life. It was different, and we loved it. It totally shaped how our content evolved over the year. ✈️

If you're missing us this month, you may enjoy watching this one 👇
