It's a Great day in the AK! is an Alaska based YouTube channel, hosted by Alaskan Guide and award winning television, feature film and corporate producer Kel Thompson. After living in Alaska for a year and being encouraged by friends and family to start a YouTube channel showcasing the state, alas Kel has started on this new venture. Kel didn't know what to expect when first moving to Alaska, but was pleasantly surprised with the abundance of wildlife and outdoor activities and everchanging landscape and weather of Alaska. From wildlife, to aurora borealis, to camping to skiing, to kayaking and mountainbiking, from mountains to the ocean, with a history rich in lore, from Captain Cook and over 600 glaciers, the stories are around every corner.
