We’re proud to welcome Shoeless Joe Jackson into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025 this October!
Joe was the kind of ballplayer you don’t forget. Smooth swing, sharp eye, and a love for the game that showed every time he stepped onto the field. Over a century later, his name still echoes through baseball history.
This fall, we honor a legend whose talent left a mark on the game and on Chicago.

We’re proud to announce that Alexandria Anderson will be inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame this October as part of the Class of 2025!
A Chicago native and Morgan Park standout, Alexandria became a track sensation at the University of Texas, capping her college career with an NCAA championship in the 100-meter dash. She went on to represent Team USA on the world stage, anchoring the 4x100 relay team to gold at the 2011 World Championships.
Her speed, focus, and determination have made her a champion at every level!

We’re heartbroken over the passing of Steve McMichael. Mongo is a true Chicago icon, who died at 67 after a courageous battle with ALS. A cornerstone of the legendary 1985 Bears defense, Mongo's relentless grit and larger-than-life spirit defined an era. His legacy was cemented last year with his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a moment he lived to see surrounded by loved ones. Though ALS silenced his voice, it never dimmed his fight. Chicago has lost a legend, but Mongo’s roar will echo forever. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who were inspired by his indomitable spirit. @ChicagoBears @ProFootballHOF

We’re excited to share that Charles “Peanut” Tillman will be inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame this October! A fan favorite and defensive force, Peanut made a name for himself with his signature “Peanut Punch” and relentless play on the field. His impact on the game, and on Chicago, goes far beyond the stat sheet. We’re proud to honor his legacy right here in the city where it all happened!

Congratulations to Coach Geno Auriemma on leading UConn to a record 12th national championship! With Sunday’s dominant win over South Carolina, Geno became the oldest coach to ever win a Division I basketball title and he did it in legendary fashion. A Chicago native and 2017 recipient of our Ray Meyer Award, Geno’s career continues to set the standard for excellence in the game. We’re proud to have him as a member of the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame. The legacy just keeps growing!
