Some people want to see you cry, fail, and suffer. They desire to witness your financial ruin and are waiting for you to experience karma for walking away and leaving them behind. They don’t understand how you’re still standing and why you’re continuing to be blessed. What they fail to realize is that being with them was your way of paying off your karmic debt. You discovered that love does not mean tolerating poor behavior, and you recognized your self-worth. You grew amidst the turmoil they created. They can hold their breath until they turn blue; even though you are rebuilding the foundation they destroyed, you are now doing so with experience, wisdom, and resilience. They did you a favor by making you stronger, wiser, and more aware, and they have helped you raise your standards. Let them choke on their own demise.
