World Renown Cinema Camera Company Shocked Filmmakers Today
Last year Nikon acquired R.E.D Camera Company and this was a huge move.
Why? Because they are one of the most trusted camera companies globally.
Today, they made an even bigger move by reducing the price of the Komodo.
The R.E.D Komodo 6K has Hollywood level video features for only $3,000.
This is big considering the camera originally launched at $6,000.
Now, that we all have affordable access to this tech, what does it mean for us?
I am uncertain. However, here are some thoughts to open the dialogue.
1. Better video quality for those who already understand storytelling.
2. Inspiration to get out and create.
3. Netflix Approved cameras in everyday households.
In closing, will I purchase this camera? No.
Filmmaking is 90% storytelling and 10% gear.
Besides, the cameras I use now are de haute qualité 😉
