Worth it Wednesday. One tip thatâs âworth itâ from both a mobile detailing / shop setting perspective is the foundational yet overlooked necessity of de ionized Water. aka âspot freeâ
Spot free water is going to aid in ones efficiency and ability to detail under direct sunlight / humid conditions etc. itâs almost impossible to deliver for your client especially in FL âď¸
Like many others I still donât have a filtration system at the house so over the past 7 years I have been buying water for 10-20 cents per gallon from local detail supply shops. In CA it was @socalwaxshop / in Tampa I go to Ardex.
Wherever you areâŚ. It can be a struggle but itâs worth putting in the time to call around to local detail shops asking if they supply or can point you in the right direction. Otherwise itâs completely worth the investment of your own home filtration system.( I recommend waiting on the new đ to come @obsessedgarage DI system. )
Until then for those of you just getting started⌠I respect it if you need to use unfiltered water. đ§đźââď¸ Just be sure the client is ok with you plugging into at their house and understand you need to work fast and out of direct sunlight.( 6-7am ) If water is sourced from your house you can add some rinseless solution to tank that will help but you will always be stressed working under this circumstance.
Drop a comment if you agree, and or leave another tip for others that you consider #worthit âď¸

Judgement - my thoughts đÂ
The reason most people / businesses donât put in the work or execute on whatâs needed to achieve the level of success on social is judgement of the content itself. Insecurity on how they look, talk, & or feel about the quality of production.Â
There is nothing more difficult, than living your life based on someone elseâs opinion. They donât have all the context or know whatâs going on, so why give them any leverage?Â
People struggle with judgement, especially from friends and family.Â
Entrepreneurship and running a business / starting a blog / podcast / âputting yourself out thereâ etc. sounds great on paper. That being said itâs a lonely road. Itâs difficult. In order to navigate successfully, you need to have a great relationship with judgement in all aspects. When itâs casted on you / when you feel a strong option towards another & DEFINITELY when you judge yourself. Itâs great to be your biggest critic. Just donât let that affect your internal happiness and conversations with yourself. Itâs a mindset game.Â
One thing that will help, is to be aware that any issues / lack of success in your business / life is 100% your fault. This creates accountability and allows you to move forward (offense) vs. feeling like the victim or pointing fingers to blame someone else. (defense)
This mindset is not the easiest or funnest way to think but it is definitely the quickest way to happiness âsuccessâ mental clarity and living a more kind lifestyle, empathetic towards others.Â
I value everyoneâs opinion, just not more than my own. - Brad

So last night I was watching Supercross, and due to track layout, dirt texture & added pressures of this being the first round of east & west shootout for the 250 class⌠the race was chaos to say the least. That being said there was a quote from @rickycharmicael that I resonated with & is easily applicable to many profession's.
âChampionships are won on the bad daysâ
To see a rider like @levikitchen (current points leader) go down hard on the first lap then proceed to get back up and continue fighting to grab any possible points embodied that champion spirit. Likewise with @dangerboydeegan climbing back up to a 6th place finish after a bad start. That grit and determination is what I love to see.
In the premier class we saw something similar with @hunterlawrence who looked great all night! Won his heat race, but in the main event was passed pretty aggressively and went down. Only to get back up and climb to a 7th place finish for the night.Â
Now to relate to this line of work âauto detailingâ. This morning I truly didnât feel like myself. Just a bit off, not as driven or determined. Maybe itâs a comfort thing as todayâs appointment is a weekly client so nothing new or super challenging. The challenge in fact was just to get up and get going. Itâs about the consistency. As Iâm writing this I feel much better than 5 hours ago when starting the day. Itâs the little micro wins that accumulate and will show results in the end game. Iâm all for not judging yourself on these off days too hard, yet understanding and remaining accountable to your ambitions. Itâs an interesting balance. We all have those days. Few are able to persevere in these times of hardship or challenging moments. I believe these moments shape what we think of ourselves on a much deeper level than just the task at hand ex winning a race / completing a job / making that deal / having that conversation etc. Are there times that I try & no matter the effort am met with defeat? 100%Â
Winning is great, but comeback storyâs are legendar. Be the goat đ of your story & live the champions mindset. Even if just seeking to experience a âgood dayâÂ
Overall the message is the keep moving forward. This will in time build the best version of yourself and you WILL winâŚ.. eventually. Youâre not alone, have a great day! - Brad đ§ââď¸âď¸

Sales vs Brand
-
When posting on social we tend to just âsellâÂ
Sales are great and necessary to remain in business however, the strategies used for the communication and efforts of that sale will determine the level of success. This is relevant for anything youâre trying to bring awareness to. Your podcast, your products, your services, your music, your education, your travels and insights, reviews etc. The most simple example would be a post of a product. Take 2 posts (same photo) and for the copy ⌠1 post simply names the product - offers discount code & uses a few related hashtags to try and bring awareness. The other example has the same photo but in the text below image, tryâs to bring value in longer form copy. Ex. Explaining the benefits of said product / how & why to use / follows with a question to help bring engagement etc. the 2nd option will serve much better by providing some type of value in the form of your 2 cents (more personable / more relatable) to the end consumer. This in turn will actually bring more sales and equally as important build âbrandâ, build reputation. Give this a try on your next post and see if it brings you and your business / community / family / friends any more value than previous efforts.

The journey of building something meaningful, is a game of micro loosing on a consistent basis. Small loses are lessons that lead to huge wins. I love to lose. Most donât, because we are worried about others opinions. We fear judgement and that can hold us back in many ways. Perspective is everything, remain optimistic & keep moving forward! đ§ââď¸ - Brad

Over the past couple months Iâve been quite busy in my personal life & thus on somewhat of a âcreative vacationâ. In order to not feel completely burnt out, I decided to just focus on the work and keep things simple in hopes to not judge myself too hard or feel like Iâm leaving to much opportunity on the table for the growth and awareness of the business. The practice of not judging yourself too hard. (DROP A COMMENT IF YOU HAVE EVER FELT THE SAME) I look forward to the refresh & spark of inspiration this will give me leading into the new year. Thank you all for the continued love and support! More SđN! - Brad âď¸

Every aspect of business is based on COMMUNICATION.
-
It blows my mind to see the amount of people active on social media, seeking to gain attention âawarenessâ in order to spread their message / educate / entertain etc. & continue to avoid responding to their comments / messages. The community you have built finds value in YOU / your content, proceeds to leave valuable feedback (or a simple emoji) & you choose to not respond. I just donât understand that concept. I DO understand that life gets busy & one doesnât always have the time to get back to everyone on every platform, especially when the scale is so high. That being said that doesnât mean itâs not a solid idea & ROI of your time to make your best effort. (Just liking the comment isnât the same) Iâm a big believer in the idea thatâŚYouâre ONE interaction from changing the trajectory of your business in a major way. Feedback is data. I value the engagement much more than the number of likes & comments. That interaction is SO valuable to your brand, I highly encourage you to change your perspective on this topic and put more effort into interacting with your friends / family / community. For those that run a business / personal brand, itâs a huge opportunity left on the table in my opinion.
