Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend.
Occasionally in varying videos, I'm
asked questions that I think others might be interested in as well.
I'm thinking a Q&A video might be the best way to answer them.
So if you have a question or query about anything, let me know by commenting here.
This week I'm working on more of these popular book pouchesπ

There's no sewing in my studio this week, but I do still have a couple of videos to edit.
I'm expanding my sewing area. π

It's day two at the Veterans table tennis nationals in Tasmania, and our team lost both matches 11-0 but did manage to win a few games. Today was much better, we won 9-2 and I even managed to win two out of three matches. Here's an action shot from this morning. Winning shot, but losing match, but at least I have great facial expressions. Right!
We still have two matches tomorrow and the next day, then a couple more days to explore before we get home.
I've done lots of filming for our holiday, but we have terrible wifi in our accomodation, so it's proving very difficult to get any videos up.

Let's have a little fun.
Who loves a good mystery? Do you love a challenge?
Your challenge would be sewing a mystery project whilst watching my next video without fast forwarding to the end to see what you're making. Who's game? I'll try to have the video up in the next 20 to 24hrs.
Here's the materials list:
17" W x 38" L fabric
8 1/2" W x 24" L fabric
8" x 23 1/2" interfacing (optional)
17" L x 4" W fabric x 2
2 sets 1" velcro, snaps or press studs
fabric to be used will be light weight cotton or rayon. No zippers, or interfacing for this project.
If you're on Facebook, I'd love to see your finished projects in our group. www.facebook.com/groups/1742310746004729 (Christine's Home Affairs)

After a fabulously hectic weekend at our table tennis championships, Chris and I have made it home winners.
Both competing in different grades, we each ended up winning our teams events in the most important final matches of the day.
My women's doubles partner and I also made it to the finals, and came home with silver medals after losing in a very close 5 set match.
I played a total of 92 games in 25 matches over 2 1/2 days, and am pleased to say my shoulder held together beautifully after last year's reconstruction.
After a days rest, I'm looking forward to getting back into my sewing studio for some relaxing sewingπ

I have the next three days away from my sewing machine whilst Chris and I compete at the 72nd Victorian Country Championships along with over 200 others in Traralgon this weekend.
If I'm not broken, I may be too sore to sew when we get back ππ

I needed something to send out recently and thought, what better way to thank viewers for their support than these new postcards. I have a couple to send out to recent viewers overseas.
They've just arrived this week. If you happen to pop by the shop, I'd be happy to give you one, and if you happen to send me mail, please remember to leave a return address.π

Hello and Welcome!
As my daily business is mostly related to sewing and second hand dealing, I'll be sharing with you my latest projects and ideas for sewing to sell. You'll learn to repair and alter clothes, construct new garments, and even upcycle some treasures from the Op Shops. As part of my second hand dealing, I've been enjoying ways to repurpose things long forgotten and unwanted, so you'll get to see what I'm doing with these previously unloved items.
I love to get feedback, and am happy to try new things, so feel free to make requests for any video content that you'd like me to do. My list is ever growing, and about six pages long so far, but I'll get there eventually.
My partner Chris and I previously enjoyed a low carb lifestyle. All the recipes are tried and tested by me, whilst Chris gets to be my guinea pig.
