My name is Caroline Strawson and I have been right where you are now. I was diagnosed with CPTSD after the end of my marriage just over 10 years ago and was suffering with depression, anxiety and self harm. I had over £70,000 ($100,000) worth of debt and lost my home. It was only my two children that stopped me from leaving this world. Over the years, I sat blaming everyone else feeling so angry. I realised I had been married to a covert narcissist and had experienced narcissistic abuse. I realised the traditional methods of healing trauma weren’t working for me so I completely retrained from being a podiatrist to a trauma trained somatic practitioner, therapist and coach in modalities like IFS, Somatic Experiencing and EMDR.
