Tomorrow's video is all about the wacky, forgotten fashion of the 1660's: the Open Coat! This transitional garment is the ~awkward teenager~ that exists between the earlier doublet and the later justacorps. It's a fun, flamboyant, flappy fashion and I can't wait to share the process with you!
This is the third installment of the 1660's Peacock Project, and it was the HARDEST thing I've ever made π΅βπ«
Goes live 6/5 @ 1 pm Central. See you there! π¦π¦π¦

What are you reading right now? π If you're not into books, what are you watching or listening to? We all need a little entertainment when we sew...
I've just started Exiled by Iron by Ehigbor Okosun, the second in the Tainted Blood duology. And once that's done, I'm not too sure what to do with myself π€ I've somehow tackled my entire physical TBR. Any recs? Bonus for lighthearted fantasy...all I've got left are the dark/heavy ones and I just can't right now π€£

Last week we made petticoat breeches, and now I want to know: would YOU wear the most hated garment in history? π

I'm excited to announce that tomorrow's video marks the start of our 1660's Peacock project! This week, it's all about the dreaded Petticoat Breeches--oh NO! π² Considered to be one of the most hated garments in history, petticoat breeches are basically trash talked in every source I've found--but why, when they're really just...historical gauchos? Omg I am SO excited to share this video with everyone! It goes live Thursday 5/22 @ 1pm Central! π¦π¦π¦

Hey friends! There's been a lot of discussion about color since last week's video, so I want to know: what's your favorite color to wear?

Happy Wednesday! Tomorrow's video is all about slow fashion for less! After all, why pay $200 for a dress that can be made for $50 (in less than a week???) I fell in love with a dress from Linennaive and had to have it--but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a gown that's basically all rectangles π€£
Would YOU try and make the dress for less? Let me know in the comments!
Video goes live on Thursday at 1 pm Central.

Happy #wipwednesday everyone! What are you working on this week? Yesterday I finished patterning the coat for the 1660's Peacock and I couldn't be more excited to have that fitting hurdle cleared! πππ

Tomorrow's video is all about the 1680's Mantua! I can't WAIT to share with you this impossible make, recreated from an actual 1680's fashion plate using nothing but some gumption and a little bit of chaos! π
