I went from needing firewood to building a multi six-figure online business from scratch.
14 years ago, we were living on a low income with a growing family and a whole lot of needs. When our chimney cracked, I paid cash to have a new liner installedāand then I did something that felt radical at the time: I bought a full yearās worth of firewood up front so we wouldnāt have to buy heat week by week.
I had taught myself how to take my quiet, homeschool mom hobby of blogging and turn it into a real businessāone that paid for things we never thought possible.
I started doing things like renting a cheap beach house once a year so we could take our very first real family vacations. That money didnāt just pay billsāit started giving us adventures and memories.
Then I discovered YouTubeāand everything changed again.
YouTube connected me to my creativity and drive like never before. I was filming real-life mom magic in the kitchen, sharing massive freezer meals, encouraging moms from all over the worldāright from my thrift store trips and grocery hauls. It felt like my very own little best friend TV show, and I got to invite thousands of women into my world, into my heart, and into real conversation.
The connection. The communication. The creativity. It all came to life.
I grew my business in completely new ways, multiplying my impact even more than I had with my blogāwhich, by that point, I had sold so I could go all in on YouTube.

I started with a $300-a-month grocery budget for my then family of seven and a deep determination to provide for my family. I didnāt have time, or margin, or a clear mapābut I did have grit, big dreams, and the kind of work ethic you build in real life with babies on your hip.
I taught myself everything.
And that determination turned into a six-figure annual blogging businessāone I built during nap times and late nights while homeschooling and navigating everything life was throwing at me.
But in 2016/2017 I saw something bigger.
What had started as a YouTube side hobby began to show signs of something extraordinary.
So by 2018, I sold my successful full-time income blog I (like selling a house), and took the leap.
I went all in on YouTube.
No video production team. No ārealā studio. Just one camera, lots of ideas, and a whole lot of hustle.
And it worked.
Since then, Iāve grown my channel to over 100 million views,
Iāve built multiple online income streams,
and my YouTube generates over $30,000+ a month consistentlyāright from my kitchen table.
It didnāt happen overnight.
