I need a simple and quick feedback please. My 2025 Lexus GX 550 is arriving soon, but I have to decide whether to trade-in (and give up) my 2023 GX 460 or my 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser. Which one should I trade? I need to take into account what the viewers want as well...

14 years ago, I was in Japan on March 11th when one of the largest earthquakes in history hit Japan. I was in Japan with 25 business students touring a Toyota plant. I decided to stay in Japan until the very last student flew out and landed safely in their home country. It took almost a week for me to finally return home, and I was so thankful that we all survived without injury or illness. It was the most emotional trip I ever had and to this day, I remember like it was yesterday. Please continue to support Japan and remember the survivors in your prayers. Thank you.

Do you still believe that cars built and/or engineered in Japan are better? Well, this is a loaded question with many possible answers... we can argue back and forth forever. However, I do believe that there are still advantages to buying cars built in Japan, though this depends a lot on the brands (Toyota's are not as affected by this). In fact, some Toyota cars built in Canada are better than those from Japan. But in any case, I'm going to present a video about "10 reasons to buy cars built in Japan" on Monday at 5:07am PT or 8:07am ET. Keep an eye on that video and let me know your thoughts!

As you know, I own a number of Lexus/Toyota vehicles, but lately, I'm beginning to consider Porsche brand as the better alternative (I owned almost as many Porsche's in the past). Why? It's because contrary to popular belief, the Porsche models have better resale value than Lexus (and even some Toyota) models and almost as reliable. The dealership experience is much better and of course, they are much more fun to drive. I recently sold our 2021 RAV4 hybrid and bought a used 2018 Macan S for the same price for example. What your thoughts on Porsche vs Lexus/Toyota brands?
