I have a new video coming out very shortly I think you'll really like that will be one of a four part series.
I’m working on the research on several future videos. The fact checking is always a very slow part and easy to get wrong unless I find people with the right expertise to help. I literally sometimes spend a whole evening trying to make sure one sentence is accurate.
I have a researcher I’m working with for the heavy lifting, but if you have reasonable expert knowledge in any of the below fields (or even remotely related) I’d love to send you a review link when the video is partially done for your review and commentary. This will help ensure the videos are as accurate and fair as possible, and also greatly speed up delivery.
Please let me know your area of expertise and I’ll be in touch shortly. You don't need to be a world expert - even if you just know where to look to answer questions that is helpful.

This morning I made the difficult decision to unlist the last video I made - The Story of Iron. This was hard but the right thing to do. Even though I had many kind comments and thumbs up, I felt it didn't meet the standards for accuracy I feel comfortable with. There are always people in every video who don't like it (and are vocal about it), I'm ok with that - but I'm not ok with myself saying things that aren't defensible.
It was an ambitious video - meant to blend the absolute awe I find in any old chunk of iron knowing it was forged in exploding giant stars, with the artistry and human interest of the iron firepit forged at the Crucible and its auction. It was also meant to bring closure to the story of the firepit which was started in the video before this (Iron from Sand). I'm about to leave on some travel so I will consider what to do next. I already have another video I'm working on (I'm not stopping!) but I'm currently divided on making an updated version when I'm back or just letting it lie. As always, thanks for watching!

I know it takes me forever to make videos so I've hired a video editor who helped with the latest video and now a research assistant for future ones. It means I'll be burning some $$ out of pocket but my goal is to release a video about every month and things will eventually sort themselves out. I have more travel coming up this month so the next video will probably be more than 4 weeks out but rest assured I've already started production.

I'm super happy and proud to be on the @Wintergatan engineering team helping to make the Marble Machine X! In this video Martin took some time to thank all of the people helping on the project - and it is an amazing and talented group of people. Right now I'm in the shop almost every day working on and filming the progress of the indexable clutch and will release that video in conjunction with Martin's video putting it into the machine. When not doing that I'm doing a lot of research and planning for other site visits and interviews with very interesting people. Some of these stories have long arcs to really capture everything but I promise it will be worth it.

I recently did a collaboration with Destin over at Smarter Every Day on this video! While my part is small - don't worry, I'm working on new content as I get my life sorted again after moving continents. I'm currently shooting video for a part that I'm making for Martin's amazing Marble Machine X and I have several historical videos I'm doing research on. Stay tuned!
