Happy New Year! Progress on this sculpture is very slow, but I’m inching my way to finally starting the head sculpt part of it, my favorite! I’ve spent some time reflecting on how I want to go about creating and sharing the work I put my heart into. I am thankful ❤️ and excited to create a new YouTube video out of this piece. What do you think the theme should be? Happy Holidays to you all!! I started playing with alternative forms of sculpting, like kiln fired stone clays. This is a piece I created with my potter friend (IG: @anayansi_artworks & my IG is @shumakerart) 👀 In other news I have a huge whole body sculpture in the works! New sculpture in the works 🍄 a shroomy bust featuring the gorgeous Petite Doll as my model. I truly don’t know where I am going with this piece. All I know is I’m really wanting to slow down and take my time. It’s tempting to rush a piece so I have more content but I’ve realized over time that I enjoy it so much more when I take my time and soak up the process, and that the time off allows me to reflect on a piece and how to delve further into a concept. I remember when I started I would get intricate just for the fun of it, and I really want to indulge in that aspect of creation again. Throwback to 2016-2017! I was making oil paintings exclusively and posting YouTube timelapses of them (I have over 50 videos on my channel now!)
