When it comes to sheer sonic obliteration, few modern death metal bands deliver the kind of relentless intensity that Unmerciful brings to the table. Born from the bloodlines of brutal legends like Origin and rooted in the unforgiving Midwest scene, Unmerciful have carved out their savage path, combining technical precision, punishing speed, and an uncompromising vision of brutality. With each release, they raise the bar on what extreme death metal music can be, and their latest offering, called “Devouring Darkness”, only pushes the boundaries further. I caught up with Jeremy Turner, the band’s craftsman on guitar, to talk about their journey through chaos, their dedication to unrelenting heaviness, and what keeps the Unmerciful machine running full throttle in a world that seems to grow darker by the day.

Kam Lee is one of the pioneering figures who has been part of American death metal since its earliest days of formation and evolution. His distinctive growling vocal style, Lovecraftian and cosmic horror-themed lyrics, and horror-obsessed concepts have played an undeniably influential role in shaping the death metal genre. Ever since he fully took the reins of Massacre again and assembled a new lineup, he has been highly active with the band. Ahead of their Asia tour and upcoming show in Istanbul, we had the chance to conduct a detailed and insightful interview with Kam.

Belgian Doom Metal band Marche Funèbre is a successful band that started its music career in 2008 and has released five albums, countless singles, EPs, and concerts in many countries.
We had a very detailed chat with the band before their Istanbul concert. They answered our questions sincerely before they went to their concert in Rome and afterwards with the participation of all band members.
Arne Vandenhoeck, Kurt Blommé and Dennis Lefebvre were with us for the first questions. Afterwards, we completed the interview with the participation of all band members.

Belçika'lı Doom Metal grubu Marche Funèbre, 2008 yılında müzik hayatına başlamış ve 5 albüme imza atmış, sayısız single, ep yayınlamış ve bir çok ülkede konsere çıkmış başarılı bir gruptur.
Grup ile İstanbul konserleri öncesi oldukça detaylı bir sohbet gerçekleştirdik. Sorularımızı Roma'daki konserlerine gitmeden önce ve daha sonra tüm grubun elemanlarınında katılması ile birlikte içtenlikle cevap verdiler.
Genellikle Arne Vandenhoeck, ve ilk sorularda Kurt Blommé ve Dennis Lefebvre bizlerle oldu. Daha sonra grubun tüm elemanlarının da katılımı ile röportajımızı tamamladık.

The 6th ‘Heathen Strike Over Brno’ festival, held on 21-22 February in Brno, one of the most beautiful cities of Czechia, was attended mainly by Pagan, Folk, and Atmospheric black metal bands. Venominfernus from our team participated in this festival for the second time and got some nice live performance footage for us. You can find performances of many bands in this long video.

💀Disrupted consists of pretty active metal musicians from the Swedish metal scene who also play in different styles, but Disrupted is fully dedicated to authentic, old-school Swedish death metal, delivering it purely and uncompromisingly. When I realized that with their latest album, Stinking Death, they had taken this craft to its peak, I cornered the band’s guitarist, Thomas, on a cold February morning for an interview.
