Sometimes you set off on an adventure to make a ~45 minute video on a musical you’ve never heard of that involves a demon barber and supposedly something to do with institutionalization…
and then end up four weeks later with a new special interest, a 27,000 word script, and a video essay with a length that rivals the musical itself. With the two parts split up accordingly to the lengths of each act (and we are going to pretend that was deliberate)
Thanks for your patience on delayed videos over the last month, here have a 2.5 hour video as a present!
I… yeah I still don’t have words for the delightful chaos that was this project, but it’s out and you should go watch it! And send it to all your friends cause I think I can really only go downhill from here so you should enjoy it while it lasts :)

Only 18% of disabled people hold a college degree (or higher).
59% of disabled people who enroll in college do not graduate.
Which makes me extra proud to say that I graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a double major in Psychology and Theatre Arts on Sunday
Thanks to everyone who supported my channel along the way - being able to do this reminded me that I love learning, reminded me to think critically, and reminded me that, no matter how much the academic system tries to convince me otherwise, I am not, in fact, stupid and my voice and thoughts very much matter. I truly couldn't have done it without you.

Thanksgiving is coming up in a few days (aka the forced family time holiday season has begun!) so time to re-remind you that this video exists with some life advice on how to survive the holidays ;)

Hello my dears!
My name is Sydney (they/them) and I'm an openly queer, trans non-binary, disabled, and autistic multi-hyphenate actor - dramaturg - video essayist - disability educator - theatre access reviewer
Here you can find resources on disability, media representation, accessible education, debunking popular science, disability related social commentary, dramaturgical deep dives into popular plays/musicals, the [very] occasional lifestyle video in between, and the whole process of making the world's first all neurodivergent production of The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-Time (and how it "failed").
