Hey all!
Just a quick head's up: I have started a new channel. You can find it at @Pfhorrunner
You might not know this about me but I am a huge fan of Destiny 2 and I'm really looking forward to Marathon. I am interested in making videos specifically about build crafting and lore in Marathon but I don't think that sort of content would necessarily fit on this channel.
To be super honest, this channel is a bit of a mess at the moment. I've seen some great success with a few of my recent videos but that has also caused a bit of an identity crisis. I find myself worrying more about what will perform well rather than what I enjoy making, and this channel started off as purely a hobby, something I did just for fun.
So that's what this new channel will be: just for fun. I will still be uploading video essays here regularly, so don't worry if you like that stuff! I actually have a fairly big project in the works right now, a retrospective on a series near and dear to my heart that will probably span multiple videos.
Anyways, that's a lot to say: check out @Pfhorrunner if you want to see me get my ass kicked in Marathon. I've applied for the closed alpha, so hopefully I'll be able to upload something fun this month.

I'm not really good at this kind of stuff but I feel like I need to say something in regard to everything that is happening politically in the USA right now.
My channel is a pretty lighthearted place and I don't really take stuff too seriously online, and the fact that I make content about video games can lead me to see the channel as a place to get away from all the pressures and anxiety that people go through. We are just here to have fun and if that's what you come to the channel for, more power to you.
But
I also feel like I need to just publicly state some positions on things so that people know where I am coming from. One of the things I value most is dignity. Not really for myself, but it's important to me that people in general are treated with dignity and respect. And the fact is-- in my country there is now a political party in charge who are nakedly attacking the dignity and safety all manner of people. Immigrants, non white people, trans people, women, muslim people, are all in the crosshairs among countless others.
This sort of discrimination, whether it's from an elected official or a youtube commenter, is disgusting to me. It goes against everything I value. I won't tolerate it.
I guess all that to say: things look really bleak right now. I will be fine, probably. I'm a white straight cisgender man with a decent job and a house. The Republicans aren't coming for me, but they are coming for people I love, and that scares the shit out of me.
I don't really know what to do now, but I wanted to just say that. I think even people with as small of a platform as me need to
