Lou Writer, born Louis Wright III, is a rising triple threat
Lou Writer, born Louis Wright III, is a rising triple threat singer, songwriter, and dancer. Reigning from Jackson, MS, Lou is known as the "R&B Prince of the South."
Lou first entered the professional entertainment industry as a background vocalist for Lyfe Jennings. By perfecting his vocals and showmanship while touring the world with the Grammy-award winning icon, Lou was soon ready to take the stage as a groomed solo artist.
An already award-winning songwriter, Lou penned the sultry track "Role Play" and began getting spins across the state of Mississippi. It wasn't long before Lou was opening for performers like Young Money's Lil Wayne and Drake, as well as R&B powerhouses Musiq Soulchild and Robin Thicke.
With an established fan base at home, Lou headed to New York City to compete in the nationally televised 106 & Park "Wild Out Wednesday" competition on BET. After two wins in the R&B category, Lou went on to win the network's R&B All-Stars competition with 49% of the votes. Since appearing on 106 & Park, Lou's nationwide fan base has quadrupled and his impact on the southeastern market has spread to Memphis, Atlanta, and Miami. He's been called upon to open for some of the hottest artists in the nation including Gucci Mane, Trey Songz, and Chris Brown.
With his fluid R&B sound, relatable lyricism, and entertaining stage presence, Lou Writer is on the fast-track to being the best multi-album entertainer in the industry to date.
