I'm sorry to let you all know that we will not be comforted by the relaxing snores of Ch. Dezertfyre's Blue Moon of Kentucky, better known as Rupert, during the second Karen Read trial. He had a good long life but we had to let him go this weekend. He is deeply missed.

I know I said I'd try to do a bonsai video to go over the Kohberger motions in limine, but it was too much divided attention for me to handle plus someone started running chainsaw halfway through. The hearing is nearly upon us (streaming it tomorrow!) so instead I'm reacting to the motions on Substack. Hey folks - sorry for the late notice but I'm moments from going live with Mike on The Young Jurks channel to talk about all the latest developments in Karen Read. By my count we have 30 motions in limine, a motion to reconsider Dr. Crosby, and witness lists that have come up since I talked with Brother Counsel on Sunday, so we are very much in the final sprint to the start of trial on April 1st.

At noon PST today, I'll be going live with Andy Kopsa to talk about legal journalism - where it has serious problems (like I observed first-hand in Delphi) and where lawyers and LawTubers can learn from it. Many of you know that I've been seriously critical of legal journalism for years - I just find that non-lawyers have a really bad track record of accurately reporting what's happening in a court proceeding even when they're not deliberately trying to push a narrative - so I'm really looking forward to this conversation and Andy's perspective on how we can better share information about legal processes and case stories.
