Happy Friday! It’s been some time but I think I need to give you all an update of what’s to come:
1. The 2926 documentary is NOT canceled! I stepped away from it for a bit to focus more on college, and with that done for the summer I can start to resume work. I’m still awaiting word on the use of some images/videos that are important for it, but once I get the go ahead I’ll finish it up and get it out! No ETA yet, but I’ll provide one as soon as it gets closer to completion!
2. Southwest Chief documentary is also in the works. Still need some more footage trackside and onboard, but hopefully I can do that more this summer and have the video out later this year. I’m hoping for sooner as I have a lot planned for later half of the year. Speaking of which…
3. 10 Year Anniversary is coming up! 2025 will officially be a decade since this channel was created, and I’ve got a few special things planned! They include:
- Why do I like…(three-part series)
- Q&A
- Music video
- Potential challenge video (TBD)
I’ll have a video explaining the full plan later on, and don’t worry, this won’t be like the 5 year or 10K specials (I’m committed to actually uploading everything for once). I’m always open to suggestions too, so if you have any ideas to celebrate please comment them.
4. K-36 centennial is also in 2025. I already went to the Durango winter photographer special in February, and will be at a couple more events later this year. Like the K-28, the K-36 will also have a massive video covering all the events coming in November, likely around thanksgiving.
A lot of great stuff is coming, so stay tuned!

Time for some updates!
With all my finals for college completed for the semester, I can resume work on the 2926 documentary! However the finals took a little longer than I thought and I’ll be working almost daily until Christmas so I may push the video back until after the new year. My initial release date was to be the 28th (next Saturday) but I’d rather not rush it, but if I do push it back it will be the first upload of 2025!
Currently I am finalizing the script, and I have been granted permission to use lots of vintage photos of the Santa Fe steam/transition era, so right now I’m in the rough assembly phase. I’m hoping to do narrations sometime this week.
I’m also working on yet another model review, which I am hoping to have done this weekend! It may involve a certain steam locomotive that made a certain international tour this year…
I will not have the year in review videos I usually do. Once again 2024 be a combined year with 2025, and those will be out in 2026. Sorry if you’re looking forward to those, but I’m not out as much anymore and those videos are rather short as a result. I’d rather wait until I have more content for them.

Happy November! It’s update time!
For the remainder of the year I don’t have anything major planned other than working on the two big documentaries: 2926 and the Southwest Chief. I might have another model review coming, we’ll see…
Speaking of 2926, I attended Lerro Photography’s shoot with the engine so I’ve got tons of footage for that, however I am going to call upon you all for something. If you have any photos and/or videos of other 2900s (2903, 2912, 2913, 2921, 2925, or any others than were scrapped), please email them to me: [email protected] and let me know how you wish to be credited.
I am hoping to have that video out either the weekend before or after Christmas!
Going to the Southwest Chief video I am looking at going up to La Junta in the coming weeks/months so I can get lots more footage. As of right now the video is 48 minutes long, and this doesn’t include all video clips and narrations! You’ll definitely want some snacks for this one!

Another update!
I’ve been home from Colorado for more than two weeks now, however work has been a pain lately and I’ve been getting out of the house more often on my days off. The vlog and reaction videos are still coming, the first I am hoping to have out tomorrow. The reaction give it another two weeks, max.
I have been investing a lot of time in my big Amtrak video coming next year, and because there is so much interesting stuff to talk about I have decided to narrate that video, which it’s barely halfway done and 40 minutes long as of now! This is gonna be a LOOOOONG video for sure!
In addition to getting footage for that, I have been returning to the last remaining semaphores just because. I did get an idea for a very interesting video regarding them and their final moments. If I get approved for this idea, it’s a go! If not, a semaphore compilation will still be up on Glorieta Sub (regardless of the first video).
Speaking of semaphores, here’s a shot I just captured of one earlier today! Enjoy!

Quick updates!
Currently I am in Colorado for a two-week job offer in Gunnison. While the town doesn’t have trains going through it (not anymore at least…) I will be sharing a short of one I caught driving up (a full video will be on Glorieta Sub when I come home).
Speaking of videos, before I left I made a goal to edit two videos (a vlog and a reaction) and have them be released while I’m gone. Sadly I ran out of time, and I didn’t want to rush-edit them last minute, luckily both are nearly complete and I will finish them upon my return.
In the meantime I do have a short video I was going to save for later but it’ll be a decent substitute and will be up Saturday. It’s just a little teaser trailer, however the project itself has been in the works for over 5 years! This photo might be a clue 🤔🤔
