We’ve been off the map enjoying a pack clinic with The Wild In Us. It won’t be long and we will be heading into the mountains with a pack string of our own 😊🙌🏼

We finished the round pen today! (Besides the sand) and I was able to move Rooster out from the ground at a lope with a saddle on for the first time ❤️ one of the last things I wanted to do before stepping on for his first ride…
(my bareback rides don’t count in my mind lol )
We will post a little update video on how it went and we will be posting a full video on the entire round pen build once the sand is in and it’s totally finished up 🙂

We found petrified Sequoias in the desert! 😊🙌🏼 Also, Rooster did an incredible job on his first ride out. He never ceases to amaze us ❤️

Our little girls are growing up 🥹
Mesa (1 yr old draft cross filly) and Josey (2 year old Appaloosa mule) have been bonding in a pen together for several weeks now and I think Mesa just passed her up. 😬
What do you think?
Fun fact: Mules live longer and mature (physically) more slowly than horses.

WE WANT YOUR OPINIONS: We try to keep our quality of our videos as high as we can, but we are thinking about adding in a new "series" on top of our other content (that won't change) where we just record our day to day life with our cell phones. It would show more of the behind-the-scenes and little updates on the crew. It would be a bonus video every week and wouldn't take over the higher produced videos we are currently putting out. This series would show more of the little chores, chickens, feed routines, barn cats, dogs, daily smaller training sessions, projects we are working on, etc. It would be a view into the lifestyle in between the more polished videos.
Is that something you would enjoy in addition to what we are currently posting? (again, its not taking the place of, it would be a bonus video weekly)
If it is something you would enjoy, what all would you like to see... or not see? Just getting an idea of what's interesting to you guys and what parts may get left out that you would enjoy joining in on...

Who wore it best? 😂❤️ the three youngsters (excluding Mesa) got to wear my lightweight saddle last night. It definitely fits Josey the best. All 3 did wonderfully and look pretty darn cute in a saddle I must say!
Rooster the Mustang is 3 yrs old and will be started under saddle this summer
Josey is only 2 and has a lot of growing to do (she is very rear end high right now) so she won’t be started under saddle this year, but can do lots of other things.
Cedar is 5 years old so she is ready to start packing weight and could be ridden when she is mentally ready for that! ❤️

Who’s ready for a wild west mule auction?!? Our next video will be all about the Salmon Select Mule Sale in Idaho and all the events and fun that one can have there (and we take Rooster around through the festivities to get him exposed to the commotion 😃)
