We're going after Juice Cleanses and other Detoxes next. Is there evidence that they actually help people detoxify their bodies?? Or is it all just great marketing, hive mentality, and potentially harmful?

See you Friday

Video is published. This took a lot of work. A lot of research and a lot of editing. I hope it shines through. It's semi-long and really info dense, but I feel it is my best work to date and I'm really proud of it. As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments and thanks everyone for the continued support! :)

This week I'm mounting the ultimate defense of Calories in Vs Calories out (CICO). A response video to Jay Feldman from The Energy Balance Podcast.

Looking forward to your feedback and I hope this is the final boss of videos in support of the calorie model of obesity. See you FRIDAY!

NEW VIDEO OUT NOW!

I’ve long been skeptical of probiotics. The speed at which capitalism attacked this market was truly astounding. There are more brands of probiotics than I can count, each one touting “clinically tested and doctor recommended formulas.” But let’s examine that “clinically tested” point.

What if I told you there’s a mountain of evidence showing probiotics are not just ineffective for a broad range of conditions, but in some cases, actively harmful? In my opinion, the data are crystal clear on this, and we’ve known it for a while. Fiber, or “prebiotics,” is far more important to the constitution of your gut bacteria than any probiotic you could ever take.

And yet, we’ve been sold this fantasy that popping a capsule of freeze-dried bacteria, often with no guarantee they survive the stomach acid gauntlet, somehow overrides decades of dietary damage. It’s not just misleading. In some cases, it’s dangerous. Several studies have documented complications like brain fog, bloating, and even the risk of bacterial overgrowth in the wrong parts of the gut.

Meanwhile, the real heavy hitters like diverse fibers, polyphenols, and resistant starches get almost no attention. Why? Because you can’t patent broccoli. You can’t bottle up black beans and slap a $49.99 sticker on them with a picture of a smiling doctor.

We don’t have a probiotic deficiency. We have a fiber deficiency. And until that changes, the gut health conversation is just marketing dressed up as medicine.

This weeks episode was a probiotics take down. I’m bringing to light 3 different studies that show the true nature of probiotics. If you take a probiotic and/or know someone who does, this is a must watch.

You might be surprised what a kettlebell coaches' opinion is on kettlebells. I like to think I have integrity and I'm honest. If I'm presented with information that proves the opposite of what I believe, I'm willing to pivot and change my position.

This weeks video is all about the brewing internet beef between kettlebell gurus and the traditional bodybuilding community. I've been using kettlebells for almost the entirety of my fitness career and so I feel well equipped to weigh in on the topic.

If you've used kettlebells or are thinking of using them, watch this first!

Just wrapped up a conversation with Dr. Sean Pastuch, Founder and CEO of Active Life. He's flipping the fitness industry on its head by challenging what our standards for trainers SHOULD be. I had a great time letting Sean riff and I'm excited for you to see it. If you've ever worked with a trainer or are thinking of working with a trainer soon, this is going to be a must watch. Releases Friday at 9am!
