Accessorise with Squares and Scarves. I have designed the jeans, classic shirts, dresses, t-shirts, sweatshirts, coats and jackets. Add a few scarves and kerchiefs. What more do you need for your everyday wardrobe?

I bought this fabric way back! I have always been a big fan of John Kaldor designs and I think this is one of his best. The unusual colour made it difficult to find a use for it. Also it is quite a difficult fabric to work with, maybe a little too sheer for a garment without a lining. It goes so well with my recent make of the palazzo pants so I had to get something made. I was tempted to just make a beautifully edged large square scarf - see my video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c25_E... - but in the end I decided on the shirt. It had to be a pattern that would fit on the yardage though - I'm very happy with the result!

The Palazzo Trousers teamed with the Frock Coat - a combination very worthwhile trying.

Palazzo Trousers Sew Along is available at last! Why has this taken so long?
I would love your feedback. Do you prefer one long video that has sections speeded up (otherwise it would take hours) or would you prefer it split into parts the way I have organised them in the past?
Do you like to see all the work at the sewing machine or are you happy to just have the sewing explained as I go along?
Thank you to all of you who continue to support my site.

@CroftMillFabric is my fabric choice for this project. The Sew Along for this pattern will be ready soon. This one has taken me too long as I show every step in detail. When I publish it, please tell me if you think I go too far!

Another great all year round sewing pattern. I have made this pattern up in a medium weight denim to start with. How can you beat denim for trying things out? It's cheap and so very wearable. I say to myself, no more denim but it's more popular than ever in the fashion press. What do I reach for first thing in the morning? continue .... angelakane.com/sewing_patterns/patterns/cropped-pa…

I studied Pattern Cutting and Fashion Design at Croydon College of Art as a mature student, during the 1970s. Since 1968 and for many years after making this break to study fashion, I worked as a computer programmer or coder as it is more usually called today. I have always been well equipped to take on the technical side of running an online business, involving any sort of digital product.
I had been making my own clothes and knitting since my early teens. I have designed for exclusive boutiques and private clients. I launched my own online boutique in 1995, one of the very first web based fashion businesses!
