My beloved Bertie passed away two weeks ago, a month before his 18th birthday. I am devastated; he was the most wonderful, loving, gorgeous, funny and gentle companion you could ever ask for.
His beautiful twin brother Percy is still very sick, and his grieving is heartbreaking. He hasn't meowed since Bertie died and was, until then, the loudest, most vocal cat I've ever known.
All the cats got sick from an E.Coli outbreak in their urine. Because of this, they shed the feline herpes virus. It's been a terrible time, and the vet bills have been utterly crippling.
