For nearly 100 days, I’ve been drawing one object a day from my cabinet of curiosities—feathers, fossils, crystals, bugs, and other odd and beautiful things I’ve collected over the years.

Monday is Day 100, and the final drawing is something special: a three-part tribute to one of the most fascinating little creatures I’ve ever encountered with a story full of intrigue, survival, and transformation.
