We are proud to announce that Anjana Abeysundara, a dedicated student of Java Institute – Central Campus and an active member of the Wushu Society, has brought great honor by securing the Bronze Medal 🥉 in the 52 kg Sanda category at the Central Provincial Sports Festival, held on 15th June 2025 in conjunction with the Sri Lanka Sports Festival 🇱🇰.

We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Sanjaya Suraweera, a Lecturer at the Java Institute for Advanced Technology – Colombo Branch, has officially become an Instructor of Wing Tsjun International. This remarkable achievement was celebrated during the Grading Seminar held on May 4th in Colombo!
Mr. Sanjaya Suraweera has been training in Wing Tsjun Kung Fu since his days as a student at the Java Institute for Advanced Technology. His dedication, consistency, and passion for martial arts have now earned him the title of Instructor, marking a significant milestone in his journey.
We are also proud to recognize Mr. Premil Naveendra, National Director of Wing Tsjun Sri Lanka, who brought great honor to the country by being promoted to 1st Technician—a milestone that may mark the first time in nearly 50 years that a Sri Lankan has progressed through the full Leung Ting lineage of Wing Chun, believed to have been introduced to Sri Lanka in 1975.
Additionally, several other instructors from the Wing Tsjun International Sri Lanka Branch received their Instructor Certificates at this special event.
A huge congratulations also goes out to our committed Java Institute students, who successfully earned their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Student Level certificates under the esteemed guidance of Grandmaster Thommy Luke Böhlig and Sifu Premil Naveendra. Grandmaster Böhlig is the founder of Wing Tsjun International, an organization with over 80 schools in 15 countries worldwide. 🌍👏
