"Gahwa and Dates" is a channel where traditional recipes have my personal twist in fusion of both worlds, east and west. “Gahwa” in Arabic means coffee; Arabic coffee is traditionally consumed with a chaser of a couple of fresh ripened or dried sugar dates. My background is East Indian (India) and Bahrain (Mid-Eastern). These recipes I have picked up from my dear Mother, Grandmother and other female cooks within the family network from both sides of my lineage. I am here to show you, it doesn’t need to be complicated, simplicity is key, and you are the master creator in your kitchen.
