I’m going through my ‘end of spring’ garden, that is in a 5b gradening zone, and I wanted to share how things are coming along for end of spring at the old house. I’m also, walking along the beach. I live near the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan, which I sometimes called ‘Lakeside Living’, the weather here is finally warming up to begin my beach walks again. a new video from my ‘Vlog La Farmhouse’ is posting Tuesday, 20th May 2025.
I’m going through my ‘spring’ garden that is in a 5b gradening zone. I wanted to share how things are coming along after the winter, and this will be my third year planting, and planning.
I live in the northern hemisphere, and moved here to the old house in the summer of 2021, and with no garden, unpacking, and cleaning to do. Normally my garden planting begins around mid may, through beginning of june, and I didn’t do any gardening the first year I was here. I can’t believe it’s our fourth year here at the old house. She as well celebrating her being one hundred, and five, & six years old. She’s a nineteen twenty saltbox petite colonial. But, I found an orignal mirror that I painted to refresh it, and dated on the back from July 1919. I have Imagine that it was commissioned as she was being built as we have such cold winters here in wisconsin. They perhaps started summertime building, and finished the Inside during the colder months. I’m happy as well to find little things in the garden from the past. I’m going to begin planting now, and wait until june, for my warmer seeds plants for planting.
