I don't know for sure but I think that most companies sell the most weed and feed in the month of May. That means you should know this about the stuff in case you plan on buying any.

I'm currently expanding my parkway strip of Buffalograss by an extra 180 sqft of lawn space. Here was a fun clip I captured with me and my son. At the end of the clip he gives a serious tutorial on how to have a great Buffalograss lawn. Turf Mechanic 2.0.

Lots of people these days are putting grass seed down on various parts of their yards. Some are putting lots of seed down and others are putting small bits down only on the bare spots. Regardless there is a lot to know about grass seed that most people just don't realize. Brush up on the less-known aspects of grass seed with this video. :)

The most important part of lawn care is using it with family. Today we hit 88, hottest day of the year. Want to learn more about lawn care in hot weather see this video https://youtu.be/Vbcb0q076og

There are some types of fertilizer that most people should avoid in early Spring...but by mid-May this stuff is almost perfect for all lawns in all climates. I applied this a while back when my soil temps finally got into the low 60s. I wouldn't use it prior to that though.

We are in the heart of spring fertilization season. I've got a major fondness for Lawnbright products and will be using them again this Spring, in various parts of my yard.

My audience here on Turf Mechanic gets 15% off all Lawnbright purchases using code MECHANIC15.

I'll be applying Total Lawn Phosphorus Free and Iron Boost this week on my Buffalograss parkway strip. Probably won't make a video on that but basic Total Lawn and RootRx will be going down on my newest patch of freshly seeded grass. Video will probably go out on that project.

I use that combo as a simple starter fertilizer. Lots of good options in their lineup though with plenty of biostimulants in all their bottles.

If any of you want to prevent grubs from destroying your lawn this coming Fall then this next 7 days should be the most optimal time of year possible to apply GrubEx. If you don't get it down in May then there are other products to use in June and in July but for Grub Ex, apply in May.

It's pretty common to see mushrooms in the middle of your lawn in the middle of spring. Do you really know if it's good or bad? This it what it means. https://youtu.be/Pig7YNftVlw

Yesterday I published a video all about an unconventional way to remove deeply rooted weeds and grasses from your lawn without chemicals; along that same vein I wanted to share with you a different non-chemical way to remove other types of weeds in an afternoon without chemicals and without hand pulling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buRQk...
