Welcome to one of the largest video game libraries! Our goal
in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Shining Resonance Refrain for PS4 was quite an undertaking, but Nikodem has finished recording it just a few days ago and we hope to get it uploaded before the end of the month (nearly a terabyte of final footage!). Here's the next RPG poll, this time more titles some of you are probably familiar with. Go ahead and vote!
250 - 30
(Uploads in April 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: PlayStation 2 (+2), PlayStation 4 (+2), Xbox 360 (+1), Nintendo DS (+1), Wii (+2), Neo Geo (+2), Genesis (+1), Game Boy Color (+2), SNES (+2), 3DO (+1)
It's been a while since we've seen such little variety! As I mentioned in previous posts, life is temporarily getting really busy for me and other LPA members seem to be dealing with personal matters also, meaning there's just less content to upload. Despite how big this project has gotten and how serious we seem to take things over here, the poor revenue sometimes makes it more important to focus on other things to ensure the lights stay on. Not to forget all of the economic woes... wait, how the heck are these consoles just getting more expensive whilst monthly savings seem to be eternally shrinking? In any case, one of or members managed to still score a Nintendo Switch 2, so before you ask: yes! Switch 2 longplays are coming.
Variety or no variety, you can always expect two new longplays per day from the LPA channel and months like these make for great opportunities to blast through some shorter retro stuff. My preference goes out to Game Gear, primarily because it's a small library with relatively little Japanese-exclusives. We actually have plenty of shorter retro stuff stockpiled that's NOT Game Gear, but I felt compelled to post a bunch of Game Gear stuff this month as the console isn't very well documented unlike other retro consoles. Not to say much of the undocumented stuff is any good (*cough* Gear Works *cough*), but it all needs proper coverage nonetheless.
Game Gear wasn't the only console I forced uploads on. As the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting released soon, Spazbo4 made efforts to beat almost all of the remaining Neo Geo CD titles on his hardware unit. There's now a huge backlog of them and I've been pushing them out as the library holds relatively few titles in total. Both Neo Geo and Neo Geo CD are now past their halfway point! Anticipated completion at the end of the year hopefully.
What's more? Well, PlayStation seems to finally be getting more attention now as our newest member "iamalamb" is working at it in full swing! Despite only just warming up and learning how to work things, he managed to submit seven PSX videos including a 40h Ogre Battle game. It's always a pleasure working with new enthusiasm and I think we'll see a lot more PSX coverage moving forward!
Some more stuff I'd love to point out this month is that we *finally* uploaded Sonic Unleashed for the X360 (this got requested a dozen times!). Most of you didn't know the game also featured a bunch of DLC, but we've got those uploaded now too... a total of 6 of them! Yes there's been a lot of DLC uploads lately, and we still have a lot more. I try to sprinkle them here and there.. particularly with less interesting days where Game Gear content gets posted for example (or Game Gear sports games, even worse!).
Also, the 3-part Disco Elysium longplay went up this month. You guys voted for it, Nikodem delivered! (where are your views, huh?). Anyway, new poll went live with Shining Resonance Refrain (PS4) winning of which the recording is currently in the works!
Lastly, I'm super excited to announce that after four years we finally managed to upload another part of our Homeland longplay! I already made a mention about this in a previous community post, but somebody from the online Homeland community reached out to LPA to help record some of the online-exclusive scenario's that I've always wanted to archive on here! There's a total of four online-exclusive scenario's, two of which have now been recorded. The 20th anniversary event for the game was the 29th of April, so the community is still extra lively as I'm writing this post and there's a good chance the other two scenario's will be recorded soo nalso. The Jintori scenario in our LPA video was actually recorded during this anniversary event :), so it's extra busy!
As always, thank you all for being part of this project! Our memberships have been growing which is really appreciated during these times. As for anyone else who actively engages with our content, thank you too! Your support is what brings content to this platform

Last poll was won by Disco Elysium which was uploaded just a few days ago. You guys asked for another poll, so here's one! Courtesy to Nikodem who wants to take on all of this weeb stuff ;)

(Uploads in March 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: PlayStation 2 (+2), PlayStation 3 (+1), PlayStation 4 (+1), PlayStation 5 (+1), Xbox (+1), Xbox Series (+1), Wii (+1), MS-DOS (+2), SNES (+1)
For everybody who didn't catch the joke two days ago, April Fools! We love our clean thumbnail format and simple video titles even though they're probably not the most SEO-optimized without any clickbait elements. I just wanted to ridicule what I've seen other channels doing and be over the top about it. But, don't worry, as long as we're able to keep the lights on with our current analytics, we won't be changing anything... which means no 4K/8K uploads either -- because frankly, they don't really look any different! Upscaling footage from 240p games to 4K doesn't add extra detail because it only increases the frame. The one thing that does change is the higher bitrate provided by YouTube for higher resolutions, but this doesn't improve much above 1080p. One thing we try to guarantee at LPA is that our longplays are in the best quality possible and include all of the important content. Given this is simply our standard, it's unnecessary to cramp all of that info in every video title or thumbnail :D okay, moving on!
March was packed with bad luck and busy schedules. That's why there's more Game Gear and retro stuff posted this month than usual as it's much easier to record. I personally was on a four day holiday which ended disastrously as I was barred entry on my way back (visa issues... long story, but all good now) and was forced a several day layover in a neighboring country uploading videos to the channel by connecting to my desktop at home through mobile TeamViewer. Whilst no upload days were missed, I wasn't able to get to any Wii titles for this month. KAGE managed to play one Wii game fortunately, but I normally have 5 scheduled myself. I'll return efforts to that library again soon, but this month I'll likely be busy with wedding ceremony things.
In better news, I might not have to worry about filling gaps on the schedule anymore because we onboarded a new member! His name is iamlamb and there'll probably be a lot of PSX uploads coming from him. Three of his videos went live last month and there was also a 40h RPG planned which couldn't get rendered on time so expect that to be posted tomorrow instead. I'm definitely excited to have him on the team as he seems to have no problem tackling some of the lengthier and difficult titles for the archive.
Speaking of lengthy titles, we managed to upload quite a few good ones this month! Perhaps the video I'm most proud of in March is Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which SpectreBull managed to push right under the 12h limit. We also got another KH entry done, this time Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix (HD). Lastly, Crimson Sea 2 and Drawn to Life for the NDS, both by Nikodem. I absolutely love our Drawn to Life longplay as the drawings are so well done. For those who haven't seen it yet, it'll be re-posted in a few days as the audio had some issues.
The Nintendo 64 library has seen some decent progress this month too. Spazbo4 managed to record Knife Edge Nose Gunner on original hardware with HDMI (this is one of the few games that doesn't run on emulation) and Ben slaved away at another Jikkyou soccer game (we now got three out of four). Personally, the only one worth mentioning that I did was World Championship Racer, which is the longest racing game for the system (over 10h!) and also the last racing game we hadn't uploaded yet.
Another thing I want to share is that we finally had the Homeland community record another multiplayer scenario for LPA. We now have two multiplayer scenario's recorded, which means I'll be editing these together pretty soon and finally add to the existing Homeland longplay after more than four years! There's only two more scenario's left to record, which I'm confident the community will record some day too. I want to say more on this, but there'll be a dedicated community post about it instead.
Lastly, I really want to thank you all for the positive comments and engagement the past month. One of the scariest things as a content creator is to take a step back from your channel and engage in other things. My wife and I had this four day trip planned for half a year and it was nice to realize how the entire place doesn't burn down when I look away for a moment lol. I still read all of the comments but I wasn't fixated on getting deadlines ready for once. Ironically, some of the backlog Game Gear content performed as good as my usual Wii uploads do, which require far more time and effort to record. I'll do my best not to just spam retro uploads though, but I might be required to take a little bit more time off this month as well.

Hi everyone! After close consideration and seeing how our content, that sometimes takes dozens of hours to produce, barely receives the recognition and revenue it deserves, we’ve decided to make some changes to our branding in efforts to maximize algorithmic favoring.
From today onwards we’re kicking out the boring old thumbnail creator and we’ll collaborate with somebody who can offer a more vibrant and engaging design. Every thumbnail will be uniquely designed instead of just featuring the same old overlay images on top of a game cover.
Furthermore, what the hell is a longplay? Ask twenty people and none will be able to answer you. After a decade it seems like the lingo is still confusing to the majority. Speedruns, walkthroughs, blindplays, playthroughs, longplays. Isn’t it all the same? Well, no, there are nuances between each term but to make things easier we’ll just classify our videos as all of the above. This will also help increase our reach and stop any bickering in the comments about what any of this means!

(Uploads in February 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: Genesis (+1), SNES (+1), Game Boy Color (+2), PlayStation Vita (+1), Nintendo DS (+2)
It's been a hectic month! After the departure of Terua and Alrovid, I've been trying to fill in the gaps whilst not neglecting any of my focus towards the Nintendo 64 and Wii console. I personally really like the Game Gear console as it's largely undocumented (aside from the obvious fun titles), so there's been more coverage of that whilst I wait for new applicants to join the team (interested? minimum quota of 4 videos per month, contact me on Discord!)
As said, there's been no negligence of the Nintendo 64 library whilst trying to make ends meet. Ironically it's been mostly sports games (four of them!) but also the first (and probably last) proper longplay of Nushi Tsuri 2 covering all four of the unique storylines. These Japanese-exclusives will probably never be found in the right format anywhere else and they take a lot of effort to record due to the language barrier, so I'm always proud to see these go live! There's still quite a few JP-exclusive obstacles in the Nintendo 64 library, but it doesn't look as intimidating as it did with the GameCube (which has already been fully documented!).
Speaking of which, I've also finally started posting Super Robot Wars 64. I initially hinted about this game perhaps having around 12 parts for the longplay, but now it looks like it'll be closer to 20. The first two parts went live in February and I already got the next two parts ready for March. I'll likely restrict myself to just two parts per month, otherwise I sink too much time into it. Thanks to the SRW community on Discord it's actually been really fun playing through this game and it's getting better as I learn more strategies, but it's simply going to take several hundred more hours to get it all wrapped up so I need to juggle this with my other deadlines.
Ok last quick bit about my uploads.. I've also finally finished re-recording (and uploading) all four of the Harry Potter games (excluding Quidditch ofc) and managed to get the re-recording of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy right under twelve hours to push it in an one-part longplay! Oh and I'm now working on re-doing the Prince of Persia games for the GameCube, with the first one already uploaded including a bunch of additional bonus content that previously wasn't included.
Speaking of Prince of Persia, we found this short X360/PS3 "remake" of the classic PoP, which Spazbo was able to quickly tackle and get uploaded. There's already some footage of it online, but not all that much.
Moreover, we also posted another one of Spazbo's Kingdom Hearts videos. Last month was KH1 remaster, this month was KH2 remaster. Both games have all of the bonus bosses included which are really tough to beat. We've got another one ready for March, can you guess which?
Other notable titles this month are Anima: Gate of Memories by Nikodem (which required several recordings for all endings and branches), CID the Dummy [REUP] by KAGE (the previous person who played this mentioned it was so awful he didn't think anybody else would ever bother recording it), Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire by SpectreBull (featuring Jirachi secret and just overall great full coverage with helpful timecodes unlike other videos), J. League Live 64 by Retro Game Spacko (well, we know this isn't a video anyone cares about, but these are really annoying to record and Spacko is doing me a huge favor getting them covered for our N64 library!) and ofcourse Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem by jtbknuggetsauce (I think this covers the last of the Mario vs DK series!? Super happy to have so many entries of the series posted now!)
Anyway, I hope you all join us again in March. There might be a little more retro stuff coming from me than usual, considering I got a few days of holiday planned (first in 10 years!) and a lot of pre-wed stuff going on with my wife whilst also venturing into something completely unrelated that can hopefully generate some income to help fund this project because the adrevenue is in the gutter. I want to give my deepest thanks to those who have bought membership for our channel, even if it's just a few dollars, because your support for wanting to keep the project running is very much appreciated. Also to those who comment frequently, leave a like or a view on our videos -- you allow me to focus more on the difficult uploads and less on the quicker retro stuff. Thank you and let's keep building!

(Uploads in January 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: NES (+1), Nintendo 3DS (+1), Switch (+1), Dreamcast (+1), Saturn (+1), PlayStation 2 (+1), PlayStation 4 (+1), Xbox (+1), Commodore 64 (+1)
It was the first month of the year and whilst that means our revenue gets absolutely tanked, we still wanted to make sure to deliver some good titles this month. We started this month off pretty strong with a return to the Kingdom Hearts titles. Spazbo has been getting a bunch of them done after a long hiatus and I think a lot of us are happy to see further documentation on this franchise. The reason why the games weren't touched on for so long was because of a few incredibly difficult additional bosses that require off-camera grinding and serious skill to beat. We'll be posting more entries in the KH series over the next months.
Anolther big title you guys been waiting for is Oopona. This one got voted on months ago in an RPG poll, but due to a fried GPU, it was put on hold for a while. Nikodem managed to grind away at it again this January and it's now finally been posted in a 3-part longplay! There's been another poll since then, so make sure you cast your vote.
Speaking of effort, I'm proud to be the first to properly document Zool for the Nintendo 64. This game is fully Japanese with no translations or proper FAQs online. I was able to gather information from some Japanese livestreams and incomplete walkthroughs that eventually allowed me to beat the game, but nothing that was as properly structured as the video I've now put up. It's definitely worthwhile for N64 RPG fans.
Shortly, more on the Nintendo 64, the goal is still to beat the library by the end of the year. We're on track, but Super Robot Taisen 64 is promising to be a giant bottleneck. I've got about 20 hours recorded right now and it's probably going to take over 300 to get all of the possible scenario's showcased. I'm chipping away at it slowly and I'm thinking about uploading a few of it's parts early. The entire longplay might cover 13 parts, so it's probably best not to post all at once.
Furthermore, we stopped doing the marathon uploads but we're still doing 3 uploads per days sometimes. This month we managed to get a bunch of DLC uploads posted as well as 5 more GameCube re-recordings. We now finally have all of the Super Smash Ultimate DLC posted (plus the WiiU DLC a few months back) as well as some more PowerWash Simulator expansions that you've all been waiting for ;). There's still plenty of DLC that we need to get out there. We'll also be working on Destruction All-Stars, which unfortunately got split up in a ton of DLC updates, which means a lot of uploads. We gotta keep separating these from the base game because we want to make sure you know what the base game initially offered and what got added to it later! SpectreBull has been super helpful making sure everything is arranged properly with his uploads, so I'm grateful for that.
Lastly, SpectreBull has also submitted Super Mario Party Jamboree at the end of January. This is another title you guys have been asking for. What is it with so many people wanting to see new Switch recordings, but when they finally go live after a lot of effort, the views aren't all so great? I'd definitely love it if you guys could engage with the Switch content a little bit more as the physical copies are expensive and I want to keep Spectre motivated on continuing to getting these done for the channel! Anyway, if we find our audience for the Switch console to ramp up, we'll definitely be posting more of it's library!
December was a phenomenal month in terms of our performance and I'm happy to see January also doing great. Thank you all for the support as I've been plowing away throughout the holidays and whatnot to keep everything running over here. It's been hectic but I'm really loving the feedback. Hope you all had a good start of the year!
PS: We're looking to onboard new members. If you think you're able to contribute four games per month, drop into our Discord and let's talk about it :)

It's been a while, but Nikodem has finished recording Oopona, the RPG that won the last poll! It'll be posted this month. In the meantime, let's collect votes for the next RPG he should play and record!

After 7 years of upload it seems that the scenes in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus suddenly decided to get copyright blocked. Oddly enough this only impacts our old composite upload, but there's a good chance we now need to cut these scenes out from all of our related TMNT videos. I honestly was never sure if these scenes were taken from the show directly or exclusive to the game.

Welcome to one of the largest video game libraries! Our goal is to archive every single licensed console game ever published.
Considering we're a longplay channel, you'll find that all of our videos are without commentary. Generally it's one video per game, but sometimes we're restricted to certain upload limits. As an archive, we're very strict on maintaining a certain quality format and making sure all of our gameplay is recorded under the same guidelines. Meaning, we record all of the meaningful and unique content. Sometimes this means our games are completed a 100%, sometimes it doesn't.
This isn't a one mans job! We work with a tremendous team. However, none of us are experts in every game. We therefore practice all of our recordings beforehand and/or use TAS if applicable or necessary.
Check out our sheets at sheets.longplayarchive.com or browse our playlists for easy navigation!
You are allowed to use snippets from our videos as long as you transform the content enough.
