Finally made it to Papa Cristo’s today after having it on my list for so long. It was bittersweet—getting to enjoy their incredible food, picking up some amazing cheeses, olives, and pastries, and even meeting Papa Cristo himself, Chrys Chrys—all while knowing they’ll be closing for good in less than a month, after 77 years.
If there’s a place you’ve been meaning to visit, go. Don’t wait. We’ve lost so many historic spots this year, and we just can’t take places like Papa Cristo’s for granted.
