Happy Holidays! Hope you get a chance to do some woodworking over the holidays. What is your current project? Mine is doing a few upgrades to my table saw rolling table and then I'll restart my furniture project: a shoe/boot rack for our front entrance. Have the first part done and working on the section that goes to the right of this bench, that will be a bit taller and hold all of our winter boots.

What is the one woodworking tool you can't do without? Either power tool or hand tool?

I’ve been interested in working with wood since I was a young boy. My father, who passed away when I was only 4.5 years old, was a carpenter by trade and so that must have somehow rubbed off on me!
I wish he were still alive today so I could have learned from him, but instead I learned from books, the woodshop classes at high school and then later through online sources, especially YouTube.
I’ve built varied projects over the years. However my main woodworking focus for the past few years has been coupled with my other passion gardening, and I have built many outdoor structures such as a greenhouse, deck railings, a pergola, raised planting beds for vegetables and compost bins.
I want to get back to building furniture and other smaller accessories.
With the right tools, knowledge and mindset you too can build quality wood projects.
