Hey everyone, in case you missed it, I unveiled a new shirt at the end of my latest video to celebrate turning children's glue into alcohol! If you'd like to pick one up the pre-order ends Sunday (April 13th), and after that, it will be gone indefinitely: nilered.tv/glue-shirt

Hey guys, as usual it has been a while, but there will actually be a new video tomorrow, where I again turn plastic into food, or more specifically, children's glue into alcohol. This video is also already available for all of my direct supporters and it's streaming right now on Nebula. So if you already have Nebula, you should check it out, and if not I definitely recommend giving it a try: nebula.tv/nilered

A bit over 2 years ago I had the genius idea to start 20 big projects, but because of how complicated they are, things haven't gone as planned, where almost all of them are taking way longer than expected. However some of these projects like making super magnets from scratch or turning air into alcohol are almost done, and I plan to finish them this year!
To give you guys an update about the project that's coming out next, things are going well and I'm hoping to have a new video out sometime early next month.

Hey everyone, a while ago I posted a behind the scenes video about all of the projects I've been working on: https://youtu.be/nJtqaLdYV_g
I was hoping to have posted a couple by the end of the year, but I've been running into problems with most of them :(
However, things are turning around, and I think a bunch of them will be ready next year!

New NileRed hoodie! It's the first hoodie I've made in a long time, and I'm really happy with how it turned out: nilered.tv/store

Recently I got a new tube furnace, and it's so big that it doesn't even fit in my fume hood! The second photo is for comparison, and it's of my original tube furnace when I made superconductors.

Capturing the natural beauty of chemistry
I find that chemistry is often taught poorly or without a purpose. Because of this, people tend to lose interest and sometimes even start to hate it. In each video that I make, I try to balance theory with purpose. My goal is to capture the natural beauty of chemistry in fun and interesting ways.
In terms of education, I have a BSc in Biochemistry, with a minor in pharmacology. However, I've always been a lot more drawn to applied chemistry. So after finishing my degree, I worked as a lab tech in an organic lab, and then as a chemistry grad student. However, I ended up leaving my graduate studies early to focus on this channel. Now, making chemistry videos has become my full-time job!
