Bossed up 💪
First day fishing the @clutchswimbaitco BOSS and it has absolutely proven itself and has become one of my favorite glidebaits now. Just a perfect size coming in at 9 3/4 inches, it’s just big enough to have that drawing power big glides tend to have but just small enough to still get a lot of bites and still have confidence throwing it and it only weighs 4oz so it doesn’t wear you out as fast as some of these heavier baits.
On this day, I fished nothing but the BOSS for 12 hours straight, from sun up to sun down, one rod, one bait and a bunch of big fish.
The conditions were set up perfectly with overcast skies and 10-12mph winds and as soon as I got to the lake, I just had that “yep, it’s a big glidebait day” feeling.

Went to a new lake that I’ve never been to before on the hunt for some big spring bass.
This lake had a lot of docks on it which I don’t get to fish very often because most of the lakes I go to just don’t have them and I never new just how bad I was at skipping docks 😂
But after getting the hang of it, I made a buttery skip that I was really proud of under a juicy looking dock, and normally when I make a cast I’m proud of I don’t get bit on it but to my surprise, this time I DID, AND it was a GOOD ONE 🤯
Such a good feeling when that happens!
Also ran into some other species along the way and even ended up drowning my beloved drone so unfortunately no drone footage for a while until I get a replacement 🙄
Catching a big fish made me feel a little better about it though!

Did everything from bed fishing, glide bait fishing and even some scoping!
After seeing some fish on beds, I decided to put a camera underwater to get some video of this fish guarding their beds. I’ve been wanting to get some footage like this for a while and I’m so glad I finally got to make it happen!
Overall had an great day on the water and I’m stoked to share this footage with y’all!

This is something I’ve been wanting to try for a long time and for the last year or so, I’ve been gathering up I all the gear I would need and after waiting all winter for some warmer temperatures, we finally got some nights that weren’t freezing to try it out for the first time!
