I probably could have scraped together a mediocre video today but I have an incredible list of things I need to do. This week has just been extra busy BTS as I'm onboarding with a marketing agency for crowdfunding later this year so the workload is immense right now but it will ease with time :) BUT I'll hit you with the few things I would have talked about here:
• Giga Shanghai has successfully ramped the new Model Y in just 6 weeks, the fastest model ramp in Tesla's history. Great to hear and this should mean good things for restocking inventory across the EU as exports go out. Will take another month or two but this is a pretty incredible feat given 3 other factories were also ramping
• A Tesla Semi was spotted with US Foods branding on it near Giga Nevada. Another likely Tesla Semi customer doing testing/validation. US Foods has a fleet of 5,000+ semi trucks and is one of the bigger fleets in the US
• Tesla is integrating AI even more, now in service. At 10 pilot service locations the AI will detect lags in communication, monitor customer sentiment and auto escalate issues to human managers. Customers will also have the option to escalate to have their issues routed to management
• Business Insider said some workers on the Model Y and CT lines could stay home for Memorial Day weekend. No big deal here lol
• 16 states are suing the Trump administration over the halting of $5B in NEVI funding. The suit is looking to stop the administration from witholding the funds. We knew legal challenges were coming, and here they are
• Tesla's Director of battery tech/powertrain left the company after 18 years to be with family. He said this: "Teams are in a strong position to execute and Tesla’s technical roadmap is poised to maintain EV leadership for several years to come. Despite what you may read in the news, next generation of leaders are coming up and Tesla’s technical future looks so bright we may all need sunglasses to see it."
• Tesla's country head for India resigned after 9 years and for now Tesla's China teams will oversee India operations until they name a successor. As we always say, when a new chapter is ramps up, it can be a good time for people to step away if they're not ready for the grind of the next season. No other detail was shared
• Lyft's stock was up 28% today thanks to a $750M share buyback and earnings that beat. Enjoy your time now, LYFT shareholders...
• BYD is aiming to have 50% of its sales outside of China by 2030. This isn't news if you've been following along

• TSLA stock had a nice day up 4.72% while the NDX was down .01%. Why was Tesla up today? Because more people bought than sold ;)
