Bee Active Toys grew out of my dream of owning a brick and mortar toy store. This dream became a reality in 2007, when my wife and I opened our first store in central, Illinois. The store front lasted until 2012 when the economy and the transition to online shopping caused me to rethink the business and sadly make the decision to close. It was a lot of fun but it was time to move on.

I am a tool and die maker by trade and have been in manufacturing for over 30 years. In 2017, my then 18 year old son convinced me to let him buy a 3D printer. Within a year, I was designing several reproduction parts for Marx Best of the West, Vintage GI Joe, and several other lines of toys to help collectors find parts to repair their old toys with.
Today, Bee Active Toys designs and makes over 200 different parts and products for the collectible toy market and I continue to meet other collectors, designers, and influencers for a wide variety of toys and games from all generations. It's a fun hobby
