Emmie has quit Rocket League.Ā
Many may have seen this coming with the lack of updates on her journey. With this, the series of Plat to GC is obviously coming to an end.Ā
Iād like to apologize to everyone for the empty promises Iāve made with these series, I truly went into them with the best intentions.Ā
Overall, it came down to passion and time constraint.Ā
Emmie lost some of that initial lust to get Grand Champ, and both of us had less time to give to the challenge than we anticipated.Ā You can see her quitting post on Twitter for more info.
Iāve failed Ray, Iāve failed Emmie, and I think itās a sign to not do another series like this again. Thereās too much involved and as great as it could have been, it was never meant to be. Either way, Iād like to kindly ask you to respect Emmie and the decision thatās been made.
Iām sure youāve all noticed that Iāve taken on a series of my own to get to SSL, and that is continuing. I travel with my Wife for her golf tours so working individually on a challenge like getting SSL is perfect, as I donāt need good internet to train, or coordination with anyone else with the crazy schedule it provides.
Thank you all for being a part of the challenge with Ray and Emmie , Iām glad the internet was able to meet them and I have no regrets choosing them or getting to know them. Theyāre genuinely amazing people. Itās just that Rocket league is hard. It takes a lot of time and commitment to reach the top ranks.Ā

Will I get Supersonic Legend? I'm going to try my hardest but the support (and trash talking) on the first episode is super cool. You guys seem to be invested and I can't wait to continue uploading the progress. I just wanted to update you all real quick on expectations for the series:
1. I want to make sure every episode has substantial growth and footage so that it feels like I'm "going somewhere". Therefore, videos will be spread out a little more than some of you hoped for. Once a week at most, but probably more like every 2 weeks on average, especially as we get closer to the end.
2. I was hoping to get a video out a few days ago but a lot has come up recently that has halted that. I'm currently in the golf season with my Wife, who is working towards playing Pro, and we are traveling every week. Internet and obligations for that are varied and last week happened to be a tough one. I also got pretty sick with seasonal allergies and that slowed me down as well (you'll hear in the next episode how bad it got me)
3. This is has to do with the poll. I'm wondering how many of you would like to watch this all play out in real time. Should I live stream my progress? Streams would likely be sporadic with no set time or day, mostly because of being on the road. For instance, I'm in Louisiana right now and without power because of a tornado that went through lol. But let me know if you'd like to see streams.
But huge thanks to everyone who is supporting this series. I haven't been this excited about playing Rocket League in a long, long time.

Hello friends, few quick major updates I want to lay out for you all.
1. I'm excited to announce I will be updating my logo to the picture you see below! Work was done by Skittlez and he worked tirelessly to help make this masterpiece. The logo is a bell, the C is subtle but sleek, and the colors are that familiar blue. I'll fully change over the logo on February 1st, 2024, so just a week or so from now.
2. Emmie Update: I know a lot of you are waiting patiently for new episodes of the Plat to GC series. First off, we haven't given up. The holidays were much busier for both of us than anticipated but we're going to be getting on track with things again soon. Additionally, as you may have seen, I've uploaded a few videos adressing how difficult it is to get Grand Champ lately. Though that doesn't affect our goal, it does mean that her rank hasn't moved much since everything has been "squished" down. A Diamond 1 from 2-3 seasons ago is struggling to get Diamond 1 back again. That's across the board. So though she may be making progress, it's hard to show that in a video when the rank hasn't moved much. We'll find workarounds for this, but I don't want to upload a video of her training just for the sake of uploading. A solution to this is found in point #3 below.
3. I created a second channel! Part of the workaround for the issue in #2 will be fixed with this channel. I'm hoping to upload unedited footage from our lessons, basically giving you free tips and insight into what Emmie and I are working on, so you can continue seeing what we're doing, even if there isn't a main channel upload. I'll be adding lots of other random, fun and light-hearted content there as well. Logo for this channel will also be changing to something similar to the new one. 4. Something big is in the works... I'm having a mod friend of mine work on a project that I think will become one of the biggest Rocket League series on my channel, possibly that you've ever seen. I'm super excited to continue planning things out, but when it does comes out.. be ready for a wild ride. Not entirely sure on the date for this, but the plan is for Episode One to drop sometime in late February, maybe early March depending.
Sorry for the long text but I am excited for the future and can't wait to continue providing you guys with content and I wanted to give a big thanks for all of the support you've shown throughout the years, even as Rocket League has "Declined" a little. These 3.5+ years have been the best time of my life. Thank you for that.

I am so sorry that this series hasn't been updated in awhile. I will be explaining everything in this next video, and your questions will be answered.
For now, know that we are still both committed to getting Grand Champ and we won't be stopping..
I am going to be figuring out a way to get more unedited moments from our sessions together so you can get your Fix because you're all crazy addicts lol. But nah, I really appreciate your guys' support on the series and again, apologies for not having more updates.

Guys. I know we love Emmie and the series and I know you want to see more of her but the journey to Grand Champ is going to be a long one. I wish I could upload her journey more often but here's the update I have for you:
Emmie and I were both unavailable to play Rocket league for most of july. This obviously set us back a little, but we've been working hard so far in August and de-rusted some.
My idea for the next video is to show all of the progress that she's done over the last couple of months but that progress has been slowed because of the temporary leave. Her and I both have huge goals for this series and sometimes the wait is worth it.
She's still super committed, I'm still super committed, and we are getting Grand Champ. And the payoff for being patient for that will be massive.

People are saying that Emmie deranked to be chosen for the Plat to GC series..
Let me just go ahead and debunk all of this nonsense since people are starting to get a little ridiculous with the lengths they're going to try and cancel her. Here are the facts:
I selected Emmie to be the person I would coach on February 22nd, which if you look at the attached photos, you see that her rank was Diamond 1 on February 21st, the day before I chose her.
Now, you might be thinking,
"CBell... She was already a diamond player????"
No.
She got carried by her boyfriend to Diamond 1 and basically quit playing ranked.
Now I obviously checked her trackers, and everyone's who applied for that matter, and saw she was diamond 1.
This was not a problem for two reasons:
1. I explicitly said in the application form that I'm looking for Gold to Diamond ranked players. Meaning being Diamond 1 was not a problem.
2. Emmie was in a video on February 7th on my channel in a video AS A GOLD PLAYER. You can see in the video that she played.. well.. like a gold/plat. (video I'm referencing: https://youtu.be/QMQKRn02cUI timestamp: 16:48)
The graph deranking from February 22nd and on was because Emmie started to Solo Queue again when we began training and fell back down to the rank she deserved at the time, which was gold 3.
I spent a massive amount of time selecting the next person and Emmie was who I decided on. Were there others who were worthy of being chosen? Of course. I wish I could've picked all of people who were deserving. Maybe I will after Emmie is Grand Champ, who knows. Point is, Emmie was selected because she was between Gold and Diamond, was on PC, had extra time to dedicate to the grind, and was willing to put herself out there and took time to filling out the application.
If you have anymore issues with Emmie being selected, you can take it up with my lawyer.
My lawyer is Me. He says quit crying and enjoy the series and Emmie's journey to GC. It's going to be epic when we get there.
