Some of you have interpreted my recent comments as an attack on Ryan Hall. I don’t know him personally but if you can get past the over the top headlines, he does provide a rational discussion of the weather, does great livestreams during severe weather outbreaks, and provides assistance in relief efforts in hard hit areas. But his headlines are over the top. He would probably admit this! This is a media tactic that has been used for years and it works very well! Maybe I’m the one with the problem in that I don’t employ the same approach. Personally I reserve dramatic headlines for dramatic and unusual events. My opinion and mine only. Feel free to disagree. We’re still friends!

I was recently interviewed by Sam Bass on his show Up Late With Sam Bass. The interview was recorded on the campus of NC Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount, NC. Hope you enjoy!

The @nmbcband is preparing for their next concert on Friday Night, March 3. One of the numbers we're working on has become one of my favorites, and I'm really looking forward to our band performing this piece. The title of the composition is Abram's Pursuit and was composed by Dr. David Holsinger. Below is a link to a recording of the Rocky Mountain Wind Symphony. Hope you enjoy, and hope you can come hear our band play it on March 3 at the Myrtle Beach High School!

My name is Greg Fishel, and I’m a professional meteorologist with over 44 years of experience, 38 of those on television. I love to educate folks about meteorology, and much of my content will be aimed in that direction. If you're interested in a deeper dive into the science of meteorology, please subscribe to my channel. I do have other interests too, such as playing the tuba, and my 55 year addiction to the New York Mets! You never know what'll show up here!
