Here is the first of a series of videos where I blab about the Sacramento Music Archive. This first one is an overview. Expect this type of content weekly for the next 8 weeks or so.
Thanks!

Hi Everyone,
I realize that I have not posted to the community here for 2 years. My apologies- I was busy getting 2 posts a day delivered to you!
2 reasons why I am community posting today-
1. I posted this really great video today that I worry will get lost in the noise. I don't think that YT sent you a notification because I made it public then unlisted it back in December. I just got the OK to post this AMAZING Zeros 77 set, featuring Ronnie Barnett playing Beat Your Heart Out! It's here: sacramentomusicarchive.com/2024/12/05/zeros-77-caf…
2. The objective of 3 cameras and a mic/Sacramento Music Archive is clear in my head, but I have realized that most everyone else doesn't understand the long term vision of this project... so get ready for a series of awesome videos about the archive and the collections that are here. It's gonna be fun to learn about all this stuff!
Alright. that's it. Watch the Zeros and stay tuned for my old mug on camera.
Thanks
Shayne

Danzig- Whisky a Go Go, Hollywood Ca 10/14/94 xfer from Hi8 Master Enhanced Stage Shot! Misfits
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I tried transferring that IGD video last night and ran into issues, so here is one from correspondent "french onion soup and kitty litter", with another amazing Steve Rogers video. This time, he is filming on stage at a Danzig show. I am shocked that Danzig didn't come over and say something like "I am gonna pound that camera like a jackhammer".
As always, if anyone has a lead on better audio, I am all up for a synch.
One last thing- the best way to keep up with everything posted is to go to www.sacramentomusicarchive.com and sign up for email alerts there. That way you youtube subscribers won't miss stuff like this!

Hi 3.Cameras.and.a.Microphone subscribers,
First of all, thanks for subscribing to my channel. I work hard to post something new every day, and I enjoy your feedback. Until yesterday, I have never had a copyright strike since I launched this channel almost 10 years ago. Yesterday, I received TWO. If I get a 3rd, the channel is removed from YouTube. So for the next 90 days, I am going to unlist all content on the channel.
PLEASE READ THIS PART: If you want to continue to be notified of new daily unlisted posts, please go to my website www.sacramentomusicarchive.com and subscribe to the wordpress email updates. You will still be informed of new stuff there. If you hate email updates, you can join the facebook group here and get daily updates there: www.facebook.com/groups/40556...
I'll be back to normal in 3 months.
Thanks again and take care,
Shayne

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for following my channel, and welcome to the 250 of you who subscribed after that Coverups video was posted. Wow, that was not expected. I wanted to let you all know that this channel also has a sister website that has A LOT of video and audio recorded/digitized by me and fellow sacramentans, or performed by sacramentans.
It is WAY better to search and browse the website, as you can browse by month/year, keyword, etc.
Some of the website stuff you recent subscribers may want to see are Green Day's earliest known live show (Davis 6/2/89), The Coverups multicamera video from Ivy Room last year, Operation Ivy's last show multicamera edit, and many more. I also have 4,000 audio cassettes to digitize still. I try to post new content ever day.
The website is www.sacramentomusicarchive.com
One last thing- I also post a bunch of really great local Sacramento music. Feel free to check it out. You'll see older posts from Gilman/etc mixed in with recent videos. It's pretty random and sometimes I don't even know what I am going to post until about noon. :-)
Thanks, and enjoy!

Hi! I have been taping shows since 1988. I currently have 3 cameras- Canon HFG10, Canon HFG30, and Canon HF200. I also use a Rode Video Pro Stereo Videomic.. hence the name. I now, it is goofy, but that is kind of who I am anyway. Over the years, my equipment has been:
1988-1992 Aiwa CV-80 (Sony ECM-909 mic 1989-1992)
1992-1999 Sony TR-81 Hi8 camera w/stock mic
1999-2002 Panasonic DV camera w/stock mic
2002-2006: Semi-retirement from taping ;-)
2006-2008: Panasonic ADVC30 w/Shure VP88 mic
2008-2010: Semi retirement
2010-2013: Canon HFM30, HF200, HFG10/30.
2013-2015: Canon HFG10/30/40.
2015-present: Canon HFG10/30/40/gopro
I record shows in Sacramento and the bay area primarily, but will travel at times as well.
These videos are intended to be free, never sold. Bands, if you ever want to use this footage for any reason, please contact me at [email protected]. It's yours. I am not looking to make money off this, it's merely my hobby.
