I was Lockport yesterday down at the Chillicothe while the rest of my family was at the little big carnival they had. Caught some trains while I was down there and later joined by my dad. Got some decent night time shots but they are still very hard to see but whatever.

New Metra SD70MACH with only one new feature to it, the gyralight. Uses the Mac model i finished like yesterday which looks just a little bit better than V1 and V2. V3 has a more angled nose still keeps the height of V2 but has a way better body. Ok bye

After taking my senior photos I was handed off to my dad to head to West Chicago. Met up with @hiawathafilms and one other as we waited for UP 6318 (SP patch). When I found out it got dropped in Rochelle I decided to check out the Eola yard spot my dad found that morning. Caught the train the SP unit should have been on just before we left. I’ll post pictures from the Eola spot later. Maybe… got a lot of horn shows also btw.

Finally caught CN 3115! My mom dropped me off at the Gaylord crossing on the CN Leithton sub. This was the closest spot I could have caught it from. I saw its report in Barrington and left early. Waited about 2 hours for it with my dad pulling up like 10 minutes before it passed. Got these two shots of it with a few others passing before CN 3115. My dad and I tried going to Joliet to see it again because I thought it was gonna do work. It didn’t. It cleared the yard at good speed so we just went home. I really don’t care what passed the BNSF line I’m glad I saw this!

1. CSX 911: Finished its model. All thats left is creating all the decals for the two. Plus work on CSX 1776 will start tomorrow.
2 & 3. SD70MAC remodel: Again, im redoing the model for the SD70MAC. Thinking this time around its looking more like one. the Nose is more pointed in and slightly lower with the windshield also being larger. Multiple variants like the SD70MACH and SD70MACe with other railroad specific stuff too.
4. This goes so hard.

Decent day out at La Grange yesterday. My dad and I brought @railfan104 along with us and met up with some others. Some being @Metraelectric222productions @Genevasubproduction and @windycityrailfan . Did a lot of running around which was ok I guess. Finally got some train down at the IHB which wasn’t the best imo either. When we first arrived a parade was being set up and while it was going on we saw the Metra float! Pretty decent day overall all even if we didn’t get any of the special trains that would have came or something.

What a night out on the Union Pacific Geneva Subdivision! My dad and I staked out at Geneva waiting to catch NS 8099. Passed at around 9:03pm. METX 104 also surprised us passing around 8:46pm. Moved to West Chicago hearing about CN 3008 passing. Turns out it did right when we left for it. Anyways also learned that UP 1979 heading west so we stayed just for it. Passed around 10:09pm. A CN 100th anniversary unit passed heading south. Passed around 10pm. Overall a really good night with just one miss!

Working on stuff. Gonna reuse my Route 59 Station build for the new GT map. Its gonna have a different name and slight changes made to fit the map but id think it works. Also finished the base model for CSX 3194. Just like how i did for METX 402, ill make simple textless logos for all the different stuff it has.

Pretty good day out at Hinsdale! Drove here at around 9am with my dad and pretty much right off the bat trains started rolling through! Caught a good amount of regular trains with this switcher and military mixed in. After it died down a lot for a good while things picked back up a bit when @Metraelectric222productions showed up! Caught two fake bonnets with him and got a decent amount of horn shows! Great weather and great train! I’ll probably post more photos later so keep a look out.

I’m railfanning at Hinsdale today. Weather is pretty nice. Suns out, so far clear sky’s, slightly chilly and two Eastbound green signals!

I'm a 16 year old railfan from Illinois. I started railfanning with my dad at the start of 2023 and continued ever since.
Left everything behind and deleted old game stuff to start fresh with Generation Trains.
