Just read the Mario Kart World developer interviewā¦over 200 music tracks for just the ājukeboxā in free roam mode?! Manā¦this game is a behemoth. Weāre probably looking at an OST of ~250 tracks at least when you also factor in the actual courses, battle mode, menu themes, etc. That would be a huge project if I decide to take it on. Two weeks left to go until launch, Iām excited to play it!!

Who was successful with getting a Switch 2 preorder?! We got pretty lucky and were able to get two - one for me from Best Buy, one for my brother from Target. In store pickup on launch day for the Best Buy one, Iām excited!
As for the Mario Kart World OST - Iām still undecided. If I do upload it, I will for sure be doing it on an alt channel. I think that is a good idea. But it will also depend on how easy/difficult it is to access the files for Switch 2 games. I will, of course, keep you all updated with what I end up deciding to do!

Hey everyone! Iāve been pretty content hiding in exile lately. But with all the Switch 2 excitement, I do need to askā¦if I were able to get my hands on the files for the Mario Kart World soundtrack after launch, would it be worth uploading it? š

Wow everyone, your comments on the previous post have really made my day! Thereās just a few things I want to expand on:
Let me absolutely confirm that I will NOT take the channel down. The channel is staying up until such a time comes that Nintendo cleans it out.
As for future uploads: I was honestly about to announce a hiatus, anyway. Simply put, I do not have the time to dedicate to uploading soundtracks right now. I work full time and am deep into studying for a very difficult licensing exam.
Plus, as Nintendo leans into using adaptive music more and more, doing just one soundtrack really takes forever. Itās not as simple as āline in and press recordā anymore. It takes hours and hours of editing small fragments of music together. Thatās time I just donāt have right now. I barely have time to play video games as it is!
In addition, the existence of an official app now makes me a bit wary to upload more music. It gives me the impression that the ninjas will be paying extra attention now.
I know the new app is a bit light on content. But it has good bones. It really does. Hopefully they expand it with more music and donāt take forever to do so.
I am also aware that the app isnāt free if you donāt have an NSO subscription - unfortunately I canāt do anything about that. Which is also why Iām leaving the channel up. I hope that Nintendo will make the app available to all down the line.
With all of that said - thank you again for your comments! I will still periodically check in as I have in the past when the ninjas have been on the prowl. As of yet, TOTK is the only affected playlist. Everything else is still fine. Please keep commenting and watching! And if I do decide to return to uploading, I will of course let you know.

Well everyone! With the announcement of Nintendo Music, it looks like this might be the end of the road! Honestly, itās about time they did something like this. Iām personally thrilled with the announcement.
At the same time, I will miss doing this. Itās been such a blast uploading music over the last 12 years! Donāt worry, I have no intentions to shut down the channel unless Nintendo brings the hammer down. And I will of course continue to pop in every now and then to check in. I love interacting with you all!
THANK YOU ALL for everything! This channel has grown a lot from its humble beginnings. We are now nearly 32,000 subscribers strong! I never thought the channel would get to this point.
I seriously appreciate all of you! Now go enjoy Nintendo Music!

Emerging from my cave for a moment to say Iām really enjoying Echoes of Wisdom so far! Outstandingly creative. The framerate issues are a little jarring though, if Iām being honest. Itās definitely time for Switch 2.
I would love to upload the soundtrack because the music is gorgeous. But in light of recent events, Iām going to hold off. For now at least.
To provide an update on that: TOTK is still the only OST that has been affected. Iām relieved about that, but itās still a little too recent to dare upload a soundtrack, let alone another Zelda soundtrack.
Iām going to keep lying low. And Iām going to keep the channel up as long as I can.

Itās come to my attention that the TOTK OST just got slammed by Nintendo. So far seems to be the only one affected.
**Edit - Quick update: The claims did come from Nintendo. 60 videos from the TOTK playlist were affected. These were Content ID claims, which means the audio matches "claimed" content from Nintendo. I'm unable to dispute this since I don't have reasonable grounds. If I were to dispute, I would certainly lose my case, and that would result in a copyright strike for the channel. I do see the comment below about removing references to Nintendo, but it seems to be the content of the video itself that got flagged. As I mentioned, for now only TOTK is affected; the channel itself is okay. But, I expect more will come; these seem to go in waves. I hope they don't completely slaughter the channel.
In any case, going dark for a bit. Weāll see what happens going forward.

30,000 subscribers! Thank you all, itās truly an amazing milestone that I never expected this channel to hit. You guys are awesome! And I love reading your comments.
I donāt have any soundtracks planned at the moment; Iāve got a lot going on right now. Weāll see what I have time to do as we get closer to some of these fall releases.

Well everyone, I now understand the love for this game! I had a lot of fun with it. Now, this isnāt a jab at the modern Paper Mario games. I still really enjoy Color Splash and Origami King (Sticker Star on the other handā¦). But I can definitely see why TTYD is so loved.
As for the soundtrack, I still have a whopping 72 tracks from the sound gallery to upload. Hereās when to expect them:
-Chapter 8 (31 tracks) will be uploaded tomorrow night (Monday).
-The special playlist (41 tracks) will likely be uploaded Wednesday or Thursday.
There are a few tracks that arenāt included in the sound gallery, such as the āfollow-upā themes for each of the partners in the epilogue. I will get to those at a later date, like in a week or two. Iāll need a bit of a break from editing and uploading music for a while. But I will come back to them.
