Heigh-ho, everybody! Sorry for the delay getting our next video up. We made three new videos over Memorial Day weekend including an H2O Glow After Hours video at Typhoon Lagoon and a brand-new Genie Plus video for larger families and groups. That crazy weekend definitely took its toll and I came down with a nasty cold, which prevented me from getting our next video up. The good news is that I am feeling much better and hope to have the H2O Glow video up tomorrow! We just made a public post over on our Patreon community (it is free to view) letting everyone know what is in the works: www.patreon.com/posts/heigh-ho-from-105437014
It is going to be an exciting month of new videos and we can't wait to share them all with you. Thanks for your patience as we finish getting them ready. Until then, keep thinking happy thoughts!

UPDATE on our Disneyland Paris adventure:
Weâre feeling a bit like âpoor, unfortunate souls,âbut this has been a great learning experience about things NOT to do when flying to Europe. đ
There was an afternoon storm in Charlotte yesterday, which meant we couldnât leave Orlando. So we missed our connection to Paris. The soonest American Airlines could get us there was 24 hours later, so one day in Paris is gone. đ˘
The worst part is that they also couldnât take our bags off the plane. Turns out, if you get separated from your bags on an international flight, you have to wait until you arrive at your destination and then request your bags, which takes 48 hours. So two days with no clothes, no camera gear, none of the stuff we kinda need to do anything.
Our only choice was to get back on the plane and stay with our bags, even though our flight to Paris wouldnât leave until the next night. From Dallas. We got to Charlotte around midnight and had to be on a flight to Dallas at 5am. Yes, that is the wrong direction to get to Europe, but Dallas was the only flight with room left, so off in the wrong direction we went. Had to sleep as best as we could on the floor in Charlotte since there was no time for a hotel.
Had another delay getting to Dallas. Once we boarded, they found the plane door was broken, so they had to fix it. And then they somehow fixed the wrong door so we waited on the tarmac while they came back because, according to the pilot, âthere are three of these doors and at least two of them have to be working for us to fly safely.â Thankfully, they must have gotten two out of three fixed, because we made it to Dallas for our 11 hour layover. With only one broken door, apparently. And that is where we sit now.
Important lessons learned: if at all possible, fly direct if you are traveling internationally with checked bags. If that is not possible, book flights with the longest possible layover so there is very little chance you will miss your connection - or at the very least, you will hopefully have time for your bags to come off the plane. And get the trip insurance - it was too late for Disney to remove a day from our hotel package, so that was an expensive mistake. Always contact Disney in these situations because they will cancel your reservation if you donât show up on the first day without letting them know what is going on.
Hats off to the American support staff in Orlando and Charlotte - they were very kind and remarkably cool under enormous pressure. Weâre talking hundreds of tired, angry people in long lines needing to be rebooked. While the best they could do for us was a 36 hour nightmare trip to France, they tried really hard to figure out ways to make it better. Unfortunately, everything on American is overbooked, which is a big problem they need to fix to prevent messes like ours in the future.
With any luck, we will start our Paris adventure tomorrow. And we have managed to keep thinking happy thoughts, which is probably our most important tip. Delirious 36 hour journeys around the globe can still be fun if you focus on finding the fun and humor in your situation. And it helps to have some champagne, too. đĽ

IMPORTANT GENIE NEWS!
Disney has announced a major change to how you will purchase and use Disney Genie Plus. Starting June 27, pricing will vary depending on the park you wish to use it for and you will need to purchase a more expensive version to use it in all four parks the way you currently do.
The Good News: It will likely be less expensive to use Genie in a single park, especially Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
The Bad News: It will add another layer of complexity to a service that is already overly complicated to understand and use effectively.
We will make a full video all about the changes as soon as they roll out!

BREAKING NEWS: Disney has announced some MAJOR changes coming to the parks in 2024:
⢠Dining Plans will return starting January 9, 2024 and you can begin booking vacations with this option added on May 31, 2023
⢠Also beginning January 9, 2024, date-based tickets will no longer require Park Pass reservations at Walt Disney World.
⢠Disney is currently developing a change to the Genie Plus and Individual Attraction Lightning Lane systems that will allow guests to book a limited number of Lightning Lanes in advance of their trip to cut down on the amount of time spent on their phones in the park.
⢠Very few details are available about this change to Lightning Lanes and we will let you know more as soon as it is announced.

Hey everyone! Sorry it has taken us a while to get this new video up - hoping to have it ready tomorrow morning. It's all about TRON Lightcycle/Run and our best tips for getting one of those coveted boarding groups. We also have THREE videos filmed and ready for editing, so we wanted to let you all tell us which video YOU want to see next. Option one is a new early entry video for EPCOT. In our last early entry video, we entered through the International Gateway, but this time we showed our best tips for entering through the main entrance at the front of the park. Option two is the first in a new series where we use ALL the bells and whistles at Hollywood Studios: early entry, Genie Plus and an Individual Attraction Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance. Option three is our new "No Genie? No Problem!" video for Animal Kingdom that we filmed on Easter Sunday where we share our best tips for navigating the park without Genie Plus or any of those fancy extras.Â
So what should we start editing next?

Genie Plus has climbed to $35 nearly every day this week â and it sold out most of those days (in record time). While pretty much no one likes paying more for something, weâre curious if it will impact your decision to use Genie Plus on your next trip. Let us know!
